Ratings & Reviews for LG High Efficiency Impeller Extra Large ( 5.5-cu ft ) Top-Load Washer ( Alpine White )

Beware if you need help.

The sales person said you could fill the tub with more water in cases where you need to on this model. I have yet to find that feature. Seems like it don’t add enough water on normal cycle or regular wash like cottons etc. Bought this machine May 5, 2025. I’m missing a bumper from the lid. I called customer service number. Twice. They gave me a hard time when I explained the issue. Just a simple rubber bumper. The person had to keep leaving to discuss it the team he says what to do. Did not cal...

Amazing!

I had a crappy washer before this and this one works so much better! Washes very fast as well.

This is truly the best washer I've ever had.

Great washer! Looks technical but actually easy to use

Washer

This washer cleans better than any previous washer I have owned. Can control by phone and sends a message when complete

Perfect Size for Family

The washing machine had all the features we were looking for. It's the perfect size for a family of four. Delivery and install went smoothly. The crew knew what they were doing and were quick, neat and efficient.

Quite happy with the LG washer

Our last washer was significantly larger but this LG is proving up to the task. The AI feature is nice - I don't have to think or risk choosing the wrong setting. It's also nice to load the detergent dispenser once and then not have to worry about it for multiple loads.

Love the size

Absolutely love my new washer. I did a lot of research before purchasing and was not disappointed. Especially love the size! My old washer couldn’t even handle a comforter and this one does with ease!

OK so far

Great capacity, quiet, fairly easy to figure out how to work it. I just question 1- how well it washes on NORMAL cycle - some frequent food stains that my old agitator washer used to remove, do not come out with this machine unless you set it on vigorous wash cycle. 2- Some items like down comforter required extra rinse to get squeaky clean. It may just be I haven't figured out how to maximize the settings. I'll keep working with it and hope that's the case.

So far so good. Wife loves it.

The detergent reservoir was a game changer. Its very quit

So far it seems solid

So far the washing machine seems solid. Lots of advanced features to get familiar with and try out. The dark transparent surface over the touch controls makes it a little challenging to find the power button. Once the power is on the other buttons and screen are clear and bright.

LG is making the best washers out there.

I researched washers and LG came up as most of the top ten on Consumed Reports. I am tired of washers lasting 4years! So far this one is great. I’m getting used to the digital control panel and the beeps’, but that’s ok….

Perfect washer!

I absolutely love my new washer it holds everything I need, doesn't use that much water and super quiet. Also very straightforward to use all the settings

Love it!

This is the first top load washer I’ve ever purchased, and I am very pleased! We have to use the “deep fill” feature to have more water in the load, but it’s SO much quieter than my front loader and I love the faucet feature!

Smart Dispense

Love this washer. Not having to worry about adding the right amount of detergent everytime is wonderful.

Extremely Versatile Washer

Great top-load washer. So many options and custom settings you can configure to exactly meet what you want. I've done about 2 dozen loads of laundry so far and this has paired very nicely with the matching DLEX front load dryer. Installation was quick and easy too!

Large and works great

I just used this for the first time today for my large area rug. It washed it perfectly. Coming from an old small washer and dryer, I am excited to see how much easier this makes laundry.

Washing machine

Great washing machine with modern features like AI

Loaded with useful AI tech!

I live the AI sense washing option, as well as the quieter operation during loads. It seems to be a very efficient machine so far.
