Overpriced garbage

First, you buy an expensive door and it is NOT complete - you are forced to buy the handle separately. Then, you have to drill the holes through a steel door - potentially dangerous but not terrible. However, the handle does NOT stay together - the tiny screw that is supposed to secure the inner handle to the rest of the mechanism does not extend far enough onto the corresponding bar. I'm tired of replacing inferior parts on this Larson door. I will never buy another Larson and would never burden a friend with this inferior product. I gave it 3 unearned stars because I hoped to caution others.

The little thing break.

This is my 3rd part in 3 years for this door. I dont know, i gave this a 6 but odd parts keep breaking on my larson door. So far i have needed to replace the closer, then a braket and am now on my second latch mechanism. I didnt need the handle, screws or anything else but had to spend 60 dollars to get the latch whuch i was told at Lowes i can not buy alone. If I had to do it again, I don't know if i would buy a larson door due to the smaller parts I have had to replace.

Twist to lock.

The door handle and mechanism work perfectly. My original handle and door was white. I could not find a white handle so I put the nickel finish one on. It was extremely easy to install. I have a little difficulty turning the lock from inside. It may just be me, but my original had an up/down latch that was easy to lock and unlock. The new one has a twist type lock that seems too close to the door frame and I find it cumbersome to turn. Not a big deal, just something I noticed. All in all it’s...

Just what I needed

Product was a direct replacement making install a breeze. Product has a quality fit and finish. Between the ease of install and the fit and finish I would say it was worth every penny.

Made it work to update an old door

We had a tough time finding a replacement handle for a very old Larson storm door. This should have fit per the specifications on the Lowes website, but we ended up having to drill one extra small hole to make this one fit.
