Companion to the R3

Used the R3 jig for a couple of years and skimped on buying this clamp for the sake of being cheap. Using a standard wood clamp was cumbersome and took a lot of time in drilling pocket holes. I finally bit the bullet and purchased this clamp to save time/energy, and a great investment it was. Cut the work load in half on my R3 jig. Looking forward to upgrading to the automaxx in the near future. Definite fan of Kreg.

Heavy duty clamp

The clamp is a very solid piece of steel. It was made to clamp the Kreg pocket hole jig to the material you are drilling. The only thing not steel are the handle cushions. The clamp opens up to about 3 inches. If you need a wider opening clamp. Kreg makes bigger clamps. This tool should last centuries.

I was using this clamp for 2 x 4's for hand rail on a covered porch ( deck), worked well for the project.

for use with jig

a must have if you are using the 2 hole jig that i purchased holds well if you make sure you are using enough pressure and does not mar the wood.

Worth every penny

I bought a K3 jig a this months ago and assumed I could make the clamps I had at home work and save a few bucks. After a few uneven joints, and needless frustration, I decided to get a Kreg face clamp. What a difference, every joint comes out flush with no hassle. Excellent clamp!

I am kicking myself for not purchasing this sooner

Honestly, what a fantastic product. It makes any woodworking or construction so much easier by giving you the 3rd hand you always need. Every day, I find a new way to utilize it. Well made, feels like it will last forever.

a more efficient way to work

This clamp and the Kreg right angle clamp should be your first purchase after your first Kreg jig. When you are working with the same size wood it is truly one handed. When switching between widths you'll have to make a manual adjustment with the screw at the end of the handle. It has become my go-to clamp

Overall good clamp

Using it on my home projects and find it to be all it suppose to be.. a good clamp. Quality metal construction. Holds well and tightly.

A must have for any shop

If you have a Kreg Jig you need this. If you need to join any 2 pieces of wood flush with each other, you need this. Works great joining all kinds of stock together (holds it flush while you glue or screw it). I have used this on some face frames I am building for an entertainment center. The joints where I didn't use this clamp I had to go back and sand to flush or redo. I also use it as a general quick clamp in my shop.

A Bit Pricey

This clamp is overpriced by about $10, but it's a necessary part of the pocket hole system. I have the pocket hole kit and this clamp is perfectly designed to hold the jig in place. I bought it out of necessity, and it works well, just think it's overpriced.

kerg clamp

I use it with the Kreg jig which speeds up the process. Also, I have a locking pliers type clamp that could be used on other projects that require a large clamping surface area. I recommend any of the Kreg jigs and will be purchasing more products by this company at Lowe's. Thanks MD

REALLY Like My Kreg Pocket Hole Jig System

One handed face clamping is DEFINITELY convenient and this clamp lets me do that. One hand lines the intended joint up and the other hand clamps the joint which makes for an even smooth joint. Irwin also makes a similar clamp but Kreg products are all so well engineered that I had no intention of saving less than $2 to get the cheaper version. Give me Kreg every time. This clamp is as good as advertized.Plenty of strength and feels good in my hand.
