It was badly damaged on receipt

Not sure about the actual saw. Never got far enough to use it. Pretty sure this was a previous return. The tape was obviously done by whoever returned it. It had been opened before. The box was heavily damaged on all corners with a significant puncture on one side. When tilting onto the two-wheeler, plastic and metal was rattling around. When opened, that rattling was the remains of the fence, maybe other stuff. An end of the fence was in broken pieces. The saw itself wasn't even square...

Absolutely the best value for $279

I shopped around a lot during the end of year sales and Black Friday sales for a portable table saw and it was between this and the Skil saw that has a built in stand I picked this one just because of the rolling stand and my local Lowe's had it in stock so I could make sure it wasn't a repackaged and damaged box. Good beginner grade saw

There were a few places where a screw hole definitely was supposed to exist but did not on the legs assembly and I don’t mind since I just made it work but very frustrating - also, these may just be the single worst assembly instructions I have ever looked at, thank god for YouTube. The saw itself is a very good entry level woodworking saw or for those who need an affordable table saw on a job site.

Great saw, great price.

Well made saw and stand. Not the best assembly directions but when is the last time you saw really good assembly instructions? Super functional rip fence and easy to adjust. Very easy to roll around the shop or work area. Folds up to take up minimal space when you aren’t using it.

Fine Saw

I don't know why some say it's difficult to put together and the instructions are bad. Most of the bolt/washer/nut assemblies are pre assembled. Every step has pictures. You don't even have to read. The saw worked perfectly right out of the box. The mitre track has a bit more play in it than I like but it's $279. The stand is solid and easy to set up and take down. Great value. If I wanted more, I could always pay twice as much and likely not get much more. Nice item Kobalt.

Missing part!!!

I heard good things about this saw so I decided to buy it. Well.....once again the big box stores disappointed again. While putting the saw together, I noticed I was missing 1 bushing that goes between the legs. This caused a wobble in the leg so I could not use it. Then, I noticed the piece that locks the fence in place is broken. I called Kobalt warranty and that was even worse. They are out of stock or not sure if they can even get the pieces.
