broke the head
Would Not RecommendI broke the head off this sledge hammer after swinging it for about 30 min on a 8in thick piece of concrete. lowes did give me my money back so I appreciate that, but as far as the sledge goes I was not impressed. also had alot of vibration in the handle.

Removed a stuck tire
Would RecommendI had to change my rear brakes on my truck and the tire was stuck on the rotor. A couple swings with the hammer loosened it up.

used the beveled edge
Would Recommendused this hammer to bust up 12x 24 concrete slab at 4 inches thick. Very solid concrete.took me roughly 4 hours to smash and stack ghe concrete. Needed to remove this in a pinch because it was going to hold my job up. Done correctly, it doesnt really use more energy than a jack hammer. I used a long breaker bar and a cinder block to lift the slab at the edges. Then, smash with the beveled edge. If you lift the concrete, u dont even have to swing full force. Glad i bought the 10lb instead of the ...

Hammer time
Would RecommendI purchased this sledgehammer to bust up some concrete, some of which was about 8”-10” thick. This hammer broke it up like a champ. On some of the thicker parts I used the end that is called the demolition end(it has a sort of dull pointed shape to it) to bust up those difficult areas. This sledgehammer does not disappoint.

Very Effective Tool
Would RecommendI was shopping for a 10-lb sledge hammer but it was out of stock so I bought this 8-lb instead not sure if it can handle a four inch slab. But to my surprise it worked perfectly and a lot easier to use.

Great for breaking concrete.
Would RecommendRecently had to remove a fence and the wood handled sledge I had broke. Purchased this sledge and made quick work of busting concrete off fence posts. The beveled end provides for impact in a specific point as opposed to just smashing through a job.
