Kobalt Does Not Make Spare Parts

Don’t get me wrong…..this trimmer works great but Kolbalt does not make a replacement spool head, which is the number one replacement part for a trimmer.

The 80 volt max by Kobalt met my expectations. It charged quickly and was ready for use in a short amount of time. It was easy to assemble. I was able to get my house and areas I weedeat in the same amount of time as my gas trimmer. It does not have quite the power that my gas trimmer had, but it is much quieter, and you don't have to mix gas and oil, which is nice. This unit is for home use only. Easy to use

This thing's easy to use just charge the battery and last up to a couple of hours. There's no mixing of gas and the oil or having to pull a string and fight to get the thing to fire up, I like gas weed eaters

I see that many people are stating that no aftermarket heads will work with this model. I did get the Shakespeare head sold at Lowes to work. None of the adapter nuts fit this which is true. But if you purchase a 10M 1.25 nut that has right handed threads it will work but it has to be a longer type nut. I found that a coupling nut will work, but only one side of it. My new weed eater is great!

The product is easy to operate and neatly trims the grass around the edges and hard-to-mow spots. I no longer have to pull a string or put gas in the weed eater for it to start. The battery holds a charge for 2 hours. The tool is not heavy and the length is adjustable.

Performed great but…

I purchased this trimmer last season but didn’t use it much. It runs great and has an excellent battery life. Now this year I have been using it regularly and needed to add more string. I know how to add string and have never had a problem until now. Watched several videos tutorials and did it perfectly however the string won’t advance no matter what I do. Needless to say I’m disappointed…

Good when new but short life

This trimmer works great for the first couple of years. No mixed gas, need pulling of a cord to start, or try to get started. The batter will last 2 maybe three years. Then the battery duration goes down to not be able to finish your expected trimming. Recharge and try again later. If the batter could be refurbished or a replacements reasonably priced that would be great. But for the cost of a replacement battery, you might as well buy a new trimmer. Great for grass, not for tough thick weeds.

It is good but doesnt go fast enough for tough weeds. Great for cutting grass.

A great addition toyour average lawncare needs...

This is a great unit. Plenty of power, not overly heavy. ( Im coming from a 4 stroke unit that doesnt even measure up to this. My yard is 1/3 acre, had 2 bars left over after finishing.....this is a great unit, love it so far!

Broke in less than two summers

Unusable in less than two summers. Fighting to get it fixed, replaced or repaired. Lowe's has passed it on to kobalt. Kobolt is now greenworks. As a consumer that owns a lot of both of their products; they'd best step up and make this right.
