Ratings & Reviews for Kobalt QUIET TECH 24-volt 15-in Straight Shaft Battery String Trimmer 4 Ah (Battery Included) (Charger Included)

Easy to use

Lowe’s makes your life easier with this Kobalt trimmer. An easier, mess free way to tame your lawn with a rechargeable battery. 🌿

Great trimmer terrible battery life

Trimmer is great. Battery life sucks

Disappointed

This tool was clearly desgined to be a trimmer. Someone got the bright idea that it could be used as an edger just by turning it upside down. Using it as an edger, I found it to be extremely awkward. In this configuration, the safety switch and trigger are located just behind your ear. Awkward. Also, your view of the cutting area is blocked by the power head and the safety shield. So you can only see what the tool did after the fact, not as it is happening. Awkward.

Great performance

Nice

Works great and is quiet! Works with all my Kobalt batteries

Part's don't fit

The parts to assemble together don't fit. Specifically the screw holes for the guard doesn't align with the tool.

Much easier than gas trimmer

HAVE a STHIL gas trimmer that is real beast, hard to start, noisy, flings debris up in my face, etc. This Kobalt is not quite as powerful, but much easier to use. Buy an extra battery. I have a 1.3 acre lot, and it takes 1.4 batteries to do the whole job.

Quiet tech 24V string trimmer at Lowes

It is quiet, but the charge on the battery did not last as long as I expected it to. It could be slightly lighter, but it is ok, it cuts well and that is what matters.

Love my weed wacker

While this unit is a little heavier than my corded one, the lack of dragging an extension cord around is NICE. For the 24 volt system it seems to have plenty of power. Maybe if I was out in a big field trying to knock down tall weeds would I go for a higher voltage model. But for my homeowner / yard work this unit works great.

Pretty good lightweight trimmer

Pros: Lightweight (easy on the shoulders and back). Easy to Use. Battery Operated. Cons: Line is a bit thinner than a gas trimmer, so not as quick/strong to get thru thick grass/weeds (takes a couple swipes). But overall, this trimmer is perfect for my needs. My gas trimmer was killed my back and neck cause of the weight, and needed something a little lighter but still pretty strong. It's got about 75% of the power that my gas trimmer had, so I'd call that a win.

Powerful but heavy

bought for my son to use, his review is "heavier than the old one but way mlre power [than the old one], says it works good but is deff a "pants on activity."

Great Equipment

Great brand, works very well around the house and garden areas.
