Best tool kit to have in your car

I got this tool set for my car and it was a life saver. Almost every tool you need to do minor repair to your car is included and easily stored in the included hard plastic case.

Don't like the laser etching on socket sizes

Kobalt 138-piece tool set.

Chose the Kobalt 138-piece tool set to use in my home shop and also to take to my Hunting Club cabin when i need tools up there. This is my first experience with Kobalt tools and overall I am happy with the quality and performance so far. Good set of tools

I was desperately in need of a new socket set. This took care of that problem instantly. I like that it has both metric and standard sockets both shallow and deep for your needs. Also, I think Kobalt makes a good quality tool for the price. Just remember these are not for impact use, so don't get carried away when using these for your applications. Many very nice tools

In this tool set there are plenty of tools for working on your cars and around the shop and home. The tools are very well made and well marked with clear acid etching on all the sockets. I’ll be recommending it to all my family and friends.

Kobalt takes the show!

What a fantastic set of SAE and MM tools all in one case. Sure it is heavy but it is much easier to carry than 2 separate sets. AND the sockets are all color coded, a blue ring for MM and a red ring for SAE. Solid tools with some caveats

The good: The tools themselves appear to be very solid. The socket heads especially are clearly marked and there is a good selection of Metric and SAE sizes in both shallow and deep, and specialty spark plug sockets. organized and ready for any job

I am always running back and forth to the standup toolbox getting the size (or the wrong size) tool when working on car or lawnmower. Complete and Bulletproof

This set appears complete and bulletproof. It contains all the standard and metric sockets, hex keys and smaller combo wrenched any handyman or DIYer would need. The color coded sockets (red and blue) are a great idea to easily identify standard and metric as well as organize. The chromed steel sockets seem bulletproof and tough. Time will tell. Great set of tools would have rated 5 star but the plastic holders for the Allen wrenches were torn on arrival could use a better set of Allen wrench holders to avoid people taking back because of a pouch issue love the tools like the red and blue mark on tools to distinguish between metric and standard

Awesome socket set

You get a lot in one package. Really well made and good quality. Comes with both sae and metric. I would definitely recommend these. On top of everything else these are lifetime warranty. I like the red and blue stripes differentiating metric and standard.

Great set of tools

You can't beat the quality and warranty of a Kobalt product. This is a great selection of sockets, wrenches, hex key and bit sets. The ratchets have 90 tooth gearing that allow you to work in tighter spots. The range of sockets should cover most normal projects. I like that there is both 6 and 12 point sockets because sometimes you just need one or the other for stubborn bolts. Nice tools, customer service sucks

One of the plastic latches on the hard case broke. I contacted Kobalt inquiring about purchasing a replacement latch (this is the same latch that is used on most of the hard case sets, and could be replaced without replacing the whole case). I was told by the lady I spoke with that I could return the whole set along with the purchase receipt to get the set replaced. I told her these sets were purchased last year by my employer for use at work that I would not be able to get the receipt. She said...

Great set for a outstanding price

This set is a must have for any beginner mechanics and technicians. I have used this thing to fix brakes, drive belts, a/c compressors, shocks and struts, and much more. Kobalt tools have the quality of Matco or Snap-On without the obscene price that you pay for Matco or Snap-On.

WOW what a value

Bought 2 yesterday on sale for less than $42 ea. after my military discount. Great finish. Fine tooth ratchets. Nice case/organizer. Great warranty. Great starter set for smaller jobs as wrenches and sockets are on the smallish side,
