What Customers Are Saying
The Kobalt torque wrench offers a range of torque settings and is easy to use, making it suitable for smaller, light-duty tasks. However, some users reported issues with accuracy, particularly at lower torque levels, and a few experienced the wrench breaking bolts. Additionally, the new packaging design was criticized as difficult to open without damaging the case.

Solid torque wrench
Would RecommendI have had this for about 2 years now, and have no complaints. I have used it probably 20 times. It seems to torque accurately, and still looks like new. Comes in a sturdy black case to keep it from getting dusty or damaged. Liked it well enough to buy the 3/8" and 1/4" versions as well.
Good Quality, Lame Case
Would RecommendWorks just as well as the other Kobalt torque wrenches that I have. Not as nice as CDI, but better than most other big box brands. Downside is that it doesnt come in a clamshell case. The clear olastic cover breaks as soon as you try to open the item. Even then, the cover just kind of sits there. Not exactly ideal.
Had to replace oil pan
Would Not RecommendTrusted this to work properly and torqued oil drain plug to 28 ft-lb. Had to replace the oil pan when the drain plug spun around and would not back out due to stripping of the plug's threads. Tried on a new oil pan and stopped because it felt very tight. I then tried it on my lug nuts and it would not click! This cost me a good bit of time and money. I will drive the extra 10 miles to the big orange from now on. I can't return it for money anymore and I can see why.

Very old stock
Would Not RecommendItem instructions state torque wrench must be re-calibrated every year irregardless of amount of usage. Wrench sent to me was already 2 years old(mfg. and initial calibration in 2019), rendering it unusable.
