Great Product

I’ve used these things for years. They’re really handy. However, Lowes made a little twist on their design... they made it shorter and it really makes a difference.

excellent counter sink and screw tip in 1. highly recommend it. I just would like them to bring back the kits they use to come in.

A handy tool to have

This tool is a real time saver when you have a large number of screws to install. Drill pilot hole with counter sink, flip and install screw. Done!

Drill-Screw-Switch-A-Roo

I only have one problem with this product: IT NEEDS A NAME!!! After a long and deep thought, I have found it: This is a “Drill-Screw Switch-A-Roo”! It lives up to its name! It gets the job done. I now use them ALL THE TIME! I dont always need a pilot hole, but when i do, its right there to save the day.

Not quite what it used to be though...

This is the third one of these that I have owned. That being said, the other two, were great, had them a long time, lost one, gifted another. This third one broke in the car on the way home. I pulled out the bit to show the person I was with and the shank came out with just the effort used to release it to flip. So, it's a great idea, very very helpful, but not too happy about it breaking before I get home. Hoping that I return this broken one and find the next one to be as good as the last ones...

the idea is great IF it would actually hold up.

This broke during the 2nd use. the detent ball has fallen out making it so the bit will not stay in the holder. The kit does not have a item number in it so the return has been difficult. It has given me the time to write this to WARN YOU.

This device could be made better

I like this item but I'm getting sick and tired of the housing pulling off of the hex shaft. My guess is that this is due to the stress put on the compression connection by having to yank on the device to switch between drill bit and drive socked. Please improve this device by making a stronger connection between the hosing and hex shaft. Perhaps a set screw could fix this problem. I would be happy to pay an incremental added cost if this fixes this problem.

Speed drill bit

Okay for a anybody who will use this occasionally. This bit is stiff and sticks a little when switching from end to end. Not for every day use.

A lot quicker

Very handy and only need my impact screw gun and not screw gun and drill!!!

Great idea, but

We've been using these drill/drivers, that fit into my impact driver, for at least 15 years. I've tried about everyone that's out there and so far these are the best we've found. They just don't last as long as I think they should. If someone would just make one with a steel body rather than aluminum, you'd really have a good tool. But until then....

Great asset, quick change between tools

I was looking for a tool that would help me drill pilot holes with countersinks, and ran across this on the Lowe's website. Fairly inexpensive, so I decided to give it a try....and I'm glad I did! While you might be able to drive a screw into plywood, and make the head flush, without experiencing splitting, the same cannot be said for most "1-by" lumber. Dependable Homeowner tool

Sturdy little tool that works for a part time hobbyist/DIY homeowner. Bit has been dependable and the easy switch over mechanism has worked quite well thus far. Have had to tighten the Allen set screw holding the driver bit in once or twice but otherwise working great.

Twist drill bit

great tool for when you are in a hurry. You have to be careful though, the drill bit breaks easier than you think. I have had two of them now and I love them.

Didn’t fit

It worked but wouldn’t lock in my Milwaukee 18v impact

Not perfect but 4 the $$ U can’t do much better

I’ve had a few over the years, 1 I broke, 1 I lost & found, that one & 1 that was 4+ years( & many holes) old failed within a few minutes of each other. Lucky the local Lowe’s had another one in stock. And I was able to finish the project. U can’t beat them for the price!!!

This tool is great!

This is my 3rd one for me personally and I've gifted some for holidays. It doesn't get a full 5 stars from me because each one I've bought gets a little hang up soon after i buy it and it mostly has to do with the bit/drill bit staying in place. The middle hex collar being aluminum gets bent and has trouble being inserted into the holder or gives the quick disconnect collar trouble locking due to the misshapened hex. I've fixed this with light filing. Other than that, it's one of my most used to...
