Ratings & Reviews for Kobalt 65 -Piece Metric and standard (SAE) Mechanics Tool Set with Hard Case

Decent kit

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This Kobalt tool set is a solid 4/5 star kit for what it’s meant to do. It’s great for light DIY projects around the house, simple furniture assembly, or keeping in the trunk as an emergency tool kit. The tools feel decent for occasional use and cover most common tasks. The plastic lid feels cheap, flimsy, breakable and gets scratched easily. Still, for the price and intended purpose, it gets the job done.

Good set

Great brand and set!

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] My husband really liked this set and said that it was pretty handy to have! He’s a former construction worker and a major tool fanatic. Lol. His favorite is DeWalt, but he said Kobalt was high up on his list and “makes good stuff” lol. He’s used multiple tools out of this set and has nothing bad to say about it. The tools were comfortable in the hand to use, feel very durable no matter the task he used them for, not overly noisy while us...

Great Tool Kit

Great product perfect for the average garage project

Nice small kit, deepwell sockets a plus.

Needed small kit for truck, will work out well.

Good Selection and Good Price

I needed a set to keep in my car that was inexpensive and organized. They seem to be pretty good quality. I've used them a couple times.

Nicely organized

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This mechanic tool set has come in handy around here as many cars are fixed on a weekly basis. The tools are made well and easy to use. They come nicely organized in a case and the case itself is slim to fit easily on the shelf. I definitely recommend for those fixes at home and work.

Perfect fits

Great

A good value on clearance

The ratchet seems small and the latches on the case are weak and are easy to pull off. The sockets are fine and the case is tough.

Metric and standard should be separated

Alright set, just annoying organization of socket sizes.

Reliable

Its has the exact sizes i needed and fits well in my toolbox

weak ratchet

Purchased the 55 piece set on sale for $25. The variety and quality of the sockets is great. The ratchet is not great. First ratchet would randomly lock up and eventually broke. Returned the set for new set under warranty. First time using the new ratchet and it is already randomly locking up. Thinking I may have to put a different ratchet in the case and toss the Kobalt. For $25, the sockets are worth the price. But given the crappy rachet, this set is not worth much more than that.

Great features

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] The maintenance is simple the case is easy to replace all parts in the case. The tools are durable. This is a very easy to use straightforward and helpful kit!
