This Kobalt tool set is a solid 4/5 star kit for what it’s meant to do. It’s great for light DIY projects around the house, simple furniture assembly, or keeping in the trunk as an emergency tool kit. The tools feel decent for occasional use and cover most common tasks. The plastic lid feels cheap, flimsy, breakable and gets scratched easily. Still, for the price and intended purpose, it gets the job done.

Besides being a great mechanics set it's also great just to have around the house. The tools are constructed of chrome vanadium steel and heat-treated for strength and durability.

Works for basic tasks

It works for what I need it for and it's sturdy. All the pieces stay in place which is fantastic and easy for organizational purposes. If you just need something basic for occasional use, it works just fine. Not sure about anything heavy duty, yet. Will see how it holds up.
