Super quiet. Love the upper third drawer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Builder installed. It gets dishes clean and that’s the point. It is so quiet we often question if it is running. We love the upper third rack. Nice addition. The only drawback is we have to use the extended drying setting to get the dishes completely dry.

Cleans so well!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are so enjoying this dishwasher… it cleans well just on the normal cycle. And so very roomy. Love the third rack. I also like the finger print resistant stainless steel. Do not have to continual wipe fingerprints off like we did our old kitchenaid … so this is a good improvement. This is our third kitchen aid dishwasher in the past 45 years. I wouldn’t buy another brand.

Overall a great appliance; top rack needs redesign

I replaced a broken Bosch dishwasher with this model, and my previous model also had a third rack. In theory the idea of being able to put bowls and small cups on the uppermost rack is a nice idea, but what is sacrificed is usable space for utensils and flatware. Great features but cheaper plastic hardware

KitchenAid Model KDTM404KPS Noise

Cleans dishes okay but has a fairly loud clunking noise that last for several seconds, stops for a while and then repeats throughout the wash cycle. In addition, the unit makes a low buzzing sound throughout the whole wash cycle. A KitchenAid service tech came out and found nothing wrong with the unit and said it is normal operation. Like the extra rack

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the dishwasher and the extra rack, but unless your cups are very small, the top rack is not deep enough. It's great for small things. I do like having 2 racks below the top rack.

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quietness of the dishwasher surprised me. It is barely audibal. However, I was disappointed in the controls. My old Kitchen Aid dishwasher remember the last settings I selected. This new model requires a lot of button pressing each time I start it It remembers nothing.

Fantastic Dishwasher!!!

The third rack is a plus for larger cooking utensils. I compared KitchenAid with another leading brand and the KitchenAid surpasses all other dishwashers for quality and price!

Unreliable junk

This is my third dishwasher in 20 years. The first two lasted 10+ years each. In less than one and a half years, I have had two service calls and each has required a major part to be swapped out. I am looking forward to getting rid of this thing.

Is this dishwasher magical?

It has truly been redesigned for my lifestyle holding all my favorites securely: from prep bowls to wineglasses to my Chemex coffee pot.
