I hate that this KitchenAid dishwasher experience is making me write a review. I’ve used their products for years and without issue. Until now. I purchase appliances for clients and I’ve always felt there are a few KitchenAid appliances I’d personally purchase. This is one of those. We purchased this dishwasher and after a year since purchase the bottom protective coating (assuming it’s Printshield) is peeling. Started at the bottom and now it’s peeling from the bottom up. Called KitchenAid, pro...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s much smaller in capacity. The quality is horrible!

Horrible QC
The tine row rusted in under 4 years. With crazy expensive replacement for a piece of metal that I can't even be sure that they will get right this time around. Also did you know Kitchenaid no longer covers the nylon and vinyl dishracks for the 2-5 years period? Kitchenaid isn't what it used to be.

Disappointing purchase
We bought this diswasher in-store from Lowes. My wife and I spent a good deal of time researching dishwashers. We narrowed it down to Kitchen Aid and Bosch. We read a massive number of user reviews too. The top level differences between the two appear crystal clear. With Bosch you get reliability and durability. With Kitchen Aid, you get superior internal design and features. Neither appeared to provide both. We went with the design of Kitchen Aid. The interior is superior in s...

Innovative and adjustable racks
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installed about a month ago as part of a kitchen remodel, replacing 20-year-old Kitchen Aid. Back when KA (Hobart) was independent before being bought by Whirlpool, it made its reputation on two products: dishwashers and their iconic countertop mixer. The old KA model was as reliable and simple as a wood stove and did a great job. So far, this new model is continuing in that vein had some nice innovations, but takes longer to complete a normal ...

Disappointing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher was used less than ten times when it began giving an error signal about the drain pan having water. I called KitchenAid and after 57 minutes speaking with 2 reps I was disconnected and no one called back. I called again on January 2nd and was told they couldn't find a service person in my zip code and would refer this for a more in-depth search and I would hear something within 3 days. Today is Jan 26th and I have never had a re...

I am still in love with this dishwasher !!!
I bought this dishwasher two years ago and it is wonderful ! I recommend it to everyone that I know. The design of the model 404 is perfect for all your dishes including antique dishes and glasses no hand thrown dish ware which can be uneven such as the vintage Dansk fish plates, great bay pottery ect. I have even put in Lenox antique China and pottery that is over 140 years old as well as Italian glass ware and Libby’s glass ware. I cook a lot and bake often. ALL fits for KitchenAid add mixer i...

Overall a great appliance; top rack needs redesign
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this dishwasher about 6 weeks now and put it though Thanksgiving and baking Christmas cookies. I replaced a broken Bosch dishwasher with this model, and my previous model also had a third rack. In theory the idea of being able to put bowls and small cups on the uppermost rack is a nice idea, but what is sacrificed is usable space for utensils and flatware. I love being able to wash silverware in the top rack as it means I can remove th...

Dishes come out super clean
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher gets everything extremely clean. I thought my old dishwasher was good. We only replaced it because of a remodel. These dishes come out much cleaner than my old one. The silverware container that runs the length of the dishwasher on the right hand side is my only thing that I’m not too excited about. I’m sure it’s designed to work better but getting the forks and knives and spoons in there is tricky because of the design, and ...

A Disappointment
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a Kitchen Aid dishwasher because I had one in my home in Houston, Texas and it was the best dishwasher ever. When the dishwasher in my current Laguna Beach home needed replacing, I was very excited about replacing it with a Kitchen Aid because of my excellent experience with a Kitchen Aid I had in the past. I couldn't believe it when dished came out of my new kitchen Aid dishwasher with food stuck on the silverware and dishes and the c...
