Blew the house fuse

We put this up over a year ago this afternoon while cleaning up the light made a pop noise, I saw a spark and the house went dark. My husband took it down. The wires inside the light were crimped and they shorted. Glad it didn't spark a house fire.

Don’t buy it

Absolutely terrible directions made it ridiculously hard to install. Tiny little nuts that are supposed to hold it up- could not be tightened enough on the super long screw to make the light flush

Absolutely love these lights!

These lights give off so much light and are perfect to update our hallways.

Bad design, poor quality hardware, but good look.

The light looks good, but the install is unnecessarily complicated by a poor design. The two screws that precariously hold the fixture with two small nuts were too long and had to be cut. The threaded pipe to attach glass housing barely threaded in. Never had so much trouble installing anything.

Poorly written instructions

The light is fine and works as expected however the instructions were poorly written resulting in taking it down a couple of times and reinstalling. For example, Machine Screw DD that protrudes outwards from the mounting bracket is used to connect the light to the bracket. There were 2 lock washers included but not mentioned in the instructions. It wasn't until after installing the mounting bracket that I realized these washers needed to be installed with the screw to prevent the screws from tur...

Beautiful Barrington Lighting

We just built a branch new ranch home in West Michigan. We put the Barrington line in the entire house - semi flush mount in entryway, scones in hallways, chandelier over dining room table, pendants over kitchen island, outside garage lighting, etc. The distressed black, wood and glass go well with our Mission, Arts & Craft and Stickley colors, textures and style inside & outside the house. Light is nice

love this bubble effect in the glass. matches well with our exterior lights. although one of our light fixtures came with a continuity fault for one of the sockets.

Don’t Buy Lighting From Lowe’s

Had the wrong parts. Instructions were incorrect. Lowe’s employee recommended bulbs that didn’t fit. I returned it all. Will never buy another lighting fixture from Lowe’s.

Attractive light, but difficult to mount

This is an attractive light, however I ran into a number of problems when installing it. I have notes the issues encountered on the matching photo. Please study photos for clarification.

Decorative

Like the quality, style of light. Able to utilize the newer style LED bulbs to decorate or enhance the room installed. Nice that the light has a downrod to allow light to shine up and down.

Can't install finishing hardware

To attach the glass bowl, a set of washers is used, a long with a nut. I torqued the nut down as much as I was willing to before possibly breaking the glass. There isn't enough thread left for the hardware to hide the washers and nut.
