Would RecommendUsed this bit to remove old 3/8" broken dowels from an antique table. Had no problems with the unknown wood used as dowels. Sides of hole were smooth, no tearout.

Would RecommendI has to sort through several packaged bits hanging on the rack to find a bit that did not have one or more minor imperfection(s), mostly on the cutting spur. Look carefully... Otherwise, the bit I finally selected performed well.

Should have purchased this from the beginning
Would RecommendWe went through 4 paddle bits wearing out on us before we got even half way through our project before I bought this one. It works way better than a paddle bit and lasts a lot longer! Well worth the price I paid! Just wish I'd started the project with this bit instead. Would have saved me money in the in the long run.

Perfect for perfectly smooth holes!
Would RecommendWhen woodworking I like to cover up the screw holes with dowels. Up until now I have always used a regular drill for this. Upon using the Forstner bit I see that I was previously very short-sighted as the holes were ragged. The Forstner bit holes were incredibly smooth and upon inserting the dowel plug my workmanship level has increased by 40% (although I am very much still a novice - but the end result looks so much better!!!)
