Servicable Bit

I has to sort through several packaged bits hanging on the rack to find a bit that did not have one or more minor imperfection(s), mostly on the cutting spur. Look carefully... Otherwise, the bit I finally selected performed well.

Perfect for what I needed to do

This forstner bit drilled right through some zebra wood that I was using. Zebra wood is about three times harder than oak. It never hesitated and cut very clean

Should have purchased this from the beginning

We went through 4 paddle bits wearing out on us before we got even half way through our project before I bought this one. It works way better than a paddle bit and lasts a lot longer! Well worth the price I paid! Just wish I'd started the project with this bit instead. Would have saved me money in the in the long run.

Perfect for perfectly smooth holes!

When woodworking I like to cover up the screw holes with dowels. Up until now I have always used a regular drill for this. Upon using the Forstner bit I see that I was previously very short-sighted as the holes were ragged. The Forstner bit holes were incredibly smooth and upon inserting the dowel plug my workmanship level has increased by 40% (although I am very much still a novice - but the end result looks so much better!!!)

High Quality Bit

This is a high quality bit that performed just as expected. I used it to bore holes into oak to insert 5/8" dowels to make a wooden railing. This bit worked perfectly. The holes were clean with no splits or cracks in the wood.

Furniture repairs

Bought this along with a 5/8 oak dowel to repair an antique dresser. All the handles had their screws crushed into the backside of each drawer, tool was used to team out and plug existing areas of damage!
