Great bits

These bits are great when clean accurate holes are desired. I would recommend them.

I’ve used several of these bits, does a fine job and the price is more than reasonable. Should be used with a drill press.

Good value for the money

Product is well made and produces very nice, clean holes. I have been wanting a set of Forstner bits for a long time and this one was a very reasonable price.

Some of the bits are dull right out of the box. Burning through soft yellow pine. About 30% of the bits are not sharp.

I used the 3/4 bit on some 1/2 plywood, by the 3rd hole the bit was dull. save yourself the headache & spend a little more for a competitor brand. the fit and finish on these are terrible, & the quality of the holes it did drill are equally bad.

Works great... clean bored hole! I only used once, so hopefully they will last a while and not dull quickly... will update later on when they have some used time acquired. I would recommend it, good quality and value for the price.

Forstner Bits

I needed the bits when my son and I were building birdhouses. The plan called for a 1 1/8” bit. This collection of bits is great. They drill clean holes with no tear-out.

Plastic carrying case was cracked in several place

The plastic carrying case was cracked in several areas. The bits were ok. The bit size stamped in the carrier were upside down relative to how the case opening up

Part Quality

Parts are just okay. Blades are not as sharp or hardened to give a smooth cut but they do a nice job...just not a great job. Side walls cit well but depth flatness chips a lot and require a sensitive touch. Price is good for the set if you need all of them otherwise spend a couple of extra dollars on the one you need. I needed the variety.

Sharp and precise holes

Only had a project where I used the 7/8" and 1" Forstner bits and results were great in in stock lumber pine. I think these are a great vaule and quality set. Worked great in a bench drill press and hand held drill.

Forstner Bits

Just purchased these and looking forward to using them. Quality looks good and reviews for these were very high on other sites.

Irwin Marples set has been excellent

I bought a 14pc set of the Irwin Marples forstner bits just over a year ago. I have used these bits in many different species of hard and soft wood for numerous different applications, I have also used them in HDPE plastics and they have performed very well, giving me smooth walled, flat bottomed holes whenever and wherever needed. I have also used them occasionally for through drilling where the size was needed and they worked well for that also, I did always use a sacrificial backer board whe...

Good set, cut quick and neatly. Always have good luck with Irwin products, expect no less with these.

Exactly what I needed in my shop!

Purchased this set after trying a set from Farbor Hreight. This set far outperforms the other set. I was able to make holes precisely for my first project with them. Definitely recommend.

Nice

Used two of these the day I bought them, both worked great; the 1” one did a great job boring through a peppermill on the lathe using a bit extender.
