Great product

I purchased the 14 piece forstner bit set because my old set was a few years old. I was surprised that I needed most sizes in this set so I bought this one as opposed to the smaller sized one. This is a great product and have used it a few times since picking them up. They cut clean holes in my drill press or using my cordless drills. I would recommend this product to a friend

Best bang for the buck

Forstner bits do a specific job very well. They bore clean holes. These aren't the very best, but they are the best for a reasonable price.

Suits my needs

The 14 bit set is what I needed. Good quality and fine boring at the correct speed setting. I mostly work with hardwood and these have done everything I wanted to do.

Had bought a set of bits from another place, bits were ok, not great, these bits are much, much better. I wish I could take the others back

Worth the $'s

So here ya go....No they are not Freud bits that cost upwards of $35.00 and up for just one. But for the money and amount of bits in this set, my goodness, ya can't go wrong. Sure they are not Freud, but they do exactly what I need them to do (bore through wood) for a bunch of bucks less! I've bought Irwin for years without any issues.

good set but could use some information on RPM's

I bought this to make some beer flight sets. I used it on several types of wood both softwoods and hardwoods. My drill press is belt driven and I can change rpms by changing belt locations. The 2" bit worked pretty good in the first pine board I cut into but struggled with a knot. I tried to use it on a piece of red oak and it was not going to work. As soon as I put pressure into the wood the machine bogged down. I luckily had some information on using a forstner bit and it stated that for...

Works great

A high quality kit for a reasonable price. I use them in a hand drill and they work great. Would highly recommend over cheap HF or Amazon kits.
