Great Countersinks

I purchased these to use to countersink screw holes in 1/4" cold rolled steel plate. Used at the proper speed and with cutting fluid, I have been able to countersink multiple holes with ease and the bits are just as sharp as they were to start. The key is to use the fluid and turn the bit real slow. You will burn these up fast trying to use them in a power drill driving through metal. Wood, ok. Metal now way. Irwin Countersink Bit Set

Bought these for an automotive project and wondered how well they would hold up to steel. They were cheap enough so I thought I'd give them a try. Worked well - used the 3/4 bit several times. Cut well and didn't seem hurt them at all. Good set to have and glad I purchased.

Perfect Counter Sink Set

I've owned alot of countersink bits and most of them either worn down quick, broke, and/or didnt do what I needed them to. Since I've had these Irwin bits I've had not one problem and the have exceeded my expectations. The drill smooth and make perfect countersink holes. They are easy to use whether you are using a drill or even better with a drill press. I would recommend to anyone that does woodworking or just diy projects, to purchase this set.

Do it the easy way...

Always used a drill bit to create a countersunk screw hole, but they were always sloppy. This fixes the slop and gives a pro finish look.

Quality Set of Countersink Bits

I have had a few odds and ends assorted countersinks but decided to get these on the spur of the moment so I would have the size I need when I needed it. So far I am impressed with the quality of the bits and the cut they make, clean and smooth. Now I have what I need no matter what size screw I choose to use. Good price also!!
