nice to have a set of counter sinks, just keep in one place, so that when needed to do a job you have them. Just great to have all sizes required.

Worked great

I needed some counter sinks for a old canoe I was working on. I was surprised that this was the only option I found at Lowes. Just one choice. I think they were around $20 for five. They worked great. I wish they had come in a little plastic box like for drill bits. Otherwise they were easy to use and did a great job. I would recommend

5-Pack Black Oxide Twist Drill Bit Set

I bought the 5-Pack Black Oxide Twist Drill Bit Set because I have been doing a lot of finish carpentry work lately and instead of using a larger size metal drill bit I decided to buy some counter sinks. The bits work well on soft wood and on hard wood they cut but some times they do burn the lumber. This is not bad if you have good control of the drill or you are using a drill press, other wise you could accidentally drill to deep and ruin your project. Use care and the bits work fine.

Great little counter sinkers specially if you are going to tap a hole makes it a good starter But don't forget these bits work great at a low speed they will shatter if you run them at a fast speed.

This is a handy set of countersinks to have on hand, especially when using the new small headed square drive finishing screws. These countersinks have an embossed design which helps to set a consistent depth either using a drill press or a power drill. The only minor complaint (and minor because I’ve never seen a better design regardless of brand) is the way the bit loads up while boring. Glad I bought this

I had a need to expand the hole in an aluminum pot to add a thermometer for brewing. The biggest drill bit I had was 5/8" and I needed a 3/4" hole. I looked at getting a step drill bit, but they were four times more expensive than this counter sink. I just used the counter sink to expand both sides of the hole to 3/4" and it worked perfectly. Plus it made the final hole smooth!

Excellent Five Piece Countersink Set

I have been looking for a new countersink for quite some time and only found the ones with two or three cutting edges. I was surprised to find this set with not only five cutting edges per bit, but also with five differently sized countersinks. The value of having different sizes is that they can be matched more readily to the size of screw head. I've used two of them and found that they are quite sharp and cut very aggressively. I would suggest that buyers be sure to run a couple of test cuts b...

What a joy to use!

I couldn't find the one old counter sink bit that I used to use.... Was ready to buy another single, large one, and just go not so deep for the smaller screw heads. Wow, am I glad I got this whole set! It's a joy to use the right tool for the job.
