Poor product. Search furhter.

This poor product should be removed from the market until it is re-engineered. It should be engineered to fit a hole saw cut hole, so the cutout is easy & precise. The parts should be re-engineered to fit together neatly so there is NO ambiguity. And its silly little door should NOT need two screw drivers to open. This product will be replaced as soon as I find the one which this products aims to be. Recommend to a friend? Ha. Not hardly.

Brass Floor outlet for hardwood or carpet floors

I'm completely happy with this Brass covered receptacle out and metal box. It looks great and the moveable cover works perfectly. I really like that your actual cord end plug from your lamp, etc., is completely below the floor surface. I would suggest that you cut the hole in your floor very slightly larger than the instructions provide because if you cut it right on the line of the provided template your metal box will NOT fit into your hole. Great product for the price

The product is true to color and was durable. My electrician installed it in my floor where I plan to place a remote reclining chair. The plugs are recessed, which work great.

Might have worked but didn't fit.

Ok, maybe not a realistic appraisal of the product since there was literally NO way it could be installed. Bought one but couldn't get the "easy opening door" to open. Turns out maybe WD-40 would've helped but figured something was wrong so returned it. (Need to press upwards from the inside of the cover to help loosen it up) Asked how to open and employee showed me so bought another one. Good quality

I bought the brass metal version. The plate is heavy and substantial. It bevels up above the floor surface about 1/4 or 1/3 inch so FYI it’s not perfectly flush. The outlet box is deep and you can adjust the depth of the outlet so plugs don’t stick up when plugged in, the flap can be shut. It’s very clean. Brass floor outlet

Product was good quality, packaged well and all parts were provided. Instructions could definitely be improved for the DIY installer. Ground wire provided for metal box was too short for code compliance. Price was good.

Very pricey and very difficult to open

Very difficult to open the latch. Have to have a screw driver handy each time. Also very pricey.

Not Great for Retrofit

Unless you're cutting into a floor, I don't recommend retrofitting into round prezcasts to replace an old outlet. i have two round outlets poured into the foundation, and I wanted to use these to replace broken outlets and improve the look of the room. these are the square pegs that look like they go in a round hole. the box was too large for the round plastic cast, and I made room for it. Solved the problem and looks nice!

It has to sit much lower than the one I replaced, so it took a lot of configuration through the sub floor but it’s a quality item and works and looks great!

Zero stars

This has absolutely terrible installation instructions. The template is completely misleading - the actual sized needed is about 1/4" to 1/2" larger, despite the warning to avoid cutting any bigger than the template. The installation is "shown" by two figures with no written instructions. At the last, final step to adjust the height, the adjustment screw head stripped with minimal force, and I have no means of fixing this. $50 down the drain. I do not recommend this product.

Electrical floor box

This was an user friendly install. It all fit first time install.

Hard to get cover open

The included electrical box is way too deep and limits where this can be installed. Additionally, the outlet flip cover is extremely hard to get open, even with a screwdriver. Otherwise the finish is really nice.
