What Customers Are Saying
The drywall shims are generally considered a useful and effective product for leveling and plumbing walls and ceilings during home renovation and drywall installation projects. Many customers found the shims to be flexible, easy to cut to size, and helpful in straightening out uneven surfaces. Several reviewers noted the shims worked well for preparing cement boards and drywall prior to tiling or finishing. However, some customers were disappointed the shims were made of cardboard rather than the expected pine material, and a few felt the cardboard shims were of lower quality. There were also some complaints about the shims swelling or deteriorating when exposed to moisture.

Not sold in store.
Would RecommendEasy to use, helped with an old house. Walls were all uneven. My only suggestion is that one package won’t be enough for a room. Took tow packages to fix a small room. Better to order more and return then to run out and have to wait for another other. I wish they actually sold it in there stores.

Real fiber board again
Would RecommendThese are back to being real fiber board, not the (terrible) paper pulp drywall shims they were selling around a year ago. So glad to have the quality product back.
Stacking shims
Would RecommendI needed to shim a half inch so I stacked 10 together to get the 90 degrees needed for the corner shower. The screws went in easy enough and the screws through the drywall held tight going through the shims. I used another one to shim a light switch by breaking off a piece. Now what do I do with the extra 89 I have left over from the pack?
Dense cardboard not pine or wood
Would RecommendThese are dense cardboard not pine or wood - simple. Primary use would be shimming uneven studs to limit drywall bow and nail/screw pops otherwise nice even wall - less annoyed cabinet installers lol...... PS unless I'm missing a highly advanced mysterious use - the illustration pic is hilarious unless some random drywall niche. Hey Lowes buyers stock these in your drywall mudding accessory area - struggle is real......
