What Customers Are Saying
The drywall shims are generally considered a useful and effective product for leveling and plumbing walls and ceilings during home renovation and drywall installation projects. Many customers found the shims to be flexible, easy to cut to size, and helpful in straightening out uneven surfaces. Several reviewers noted the shims worked well for preparing cement boards and drywall prior to tiling or finishing. However, some customers were disappointed the shims were made of cardboard rather than the expected pine material, and a few felt the cardboard shims were of lower quality. There were also some complaints about the shims swelling or deteriorating when exposed to moisture.

Need to fix framing when out of plumb?

Plumb away!
Would RecommendI absolutely love these shims. Remodelling my 120yr old house and these have been nothing but useful. The walls was all lathe and plaster so it was hidding a lot of warped studs. I spent a lot of time plumbing everything out but it was all worth it. For weirdly shaped studs, I would glue together several of these together and sand it down while they're on the studs. I have a 8 foot level which I used probably thousands of times to make sure everything was flat to each other. Worth the time and ...

Easy to use shims to plumb walls
Would Not RecommendThese thin cardboard strips (0.055" thick) are perfect for shimming out drywall, plywood or cement board to true the walls perfectly plumb and laterally level. Just staple to the 2 x 4's (They are 1-1/2" wide x 45" long) in stacks as thick as needed to shim the wall plumb or level. I found that using these shims to plumb and level cement board is much easier than using thinset after installing the boards to correct those types of problems. That makes tiling vertical surfaces a breeze. Two shim...

Flexible & affordable
Would RecommendWhile I was looking for shim options for the walls of a room in an older home I’m remodeling, I ran across this product. For the price, thought I’d give it a try. I’m SO glad I did! Not only was I able to ‘straighten out’ some walls that were not so perfect by using these in conjunction with wood shims I ripped from 2x4s, I was also able to perfectly level the ceiling as well! These shims can easily be cut to any length needed - or doubled or tripled in spots as needed. A must have for any remod...

Gets the job done.
Would RecommendThey're drywall shims, not much to say. Nice and long, not too expensive. A little flimsy (they tear easily) but not really a problem.
