What Customers Are Saying
The drywall shims are generally considered a useful and effective product for leveling and plumbing walls and ceilings during home renovation and drywall installation projects. Many customers found the shims to be flexible, easy to cut to size, and helpful in straightening out uneven surfaces. Several reviewers noted the shims worked well for preparing cement boards and drywall prior to tiling or finishing. However, some customers were disappointed the shims were made of cardboard rather than the expected pine material, and a few felt the cardboard shims were of lower quality. There were also some complaints about the shims swelling or deteriorating when exposed to moisture.

Would RecommendDoing a bathroom remodel and wanted my walls perfectly straight for countertop. These are great where studs can’t be planed down. Simply staple on with T50 staples and drywall goes up perfectly straight. Also use it behind my foam backer for the tile shower. A little extra time up front to save a lot of headache later.

Always fixing others mistakes
Would RecommendNothing like some crooked walls that need fixing... Drywall shims were exactly what I needed for straightening shower walls before tiling. The uniform thickness made it easy to build a flat, plumb surface so the tiles went up smoothly with no issues. They're flexible, easy to cut with a utility knife or just fold, and simple to fasten in place. Coming in a pack of 100, there's plenty to work with for a full bathroom project. Great value and they did the job perfectly.

Try them they are a big time and effort saver
Would RecommendThese shims are huge help. They allowed me to make my new sheet rock line up perfectly with the old plaster and sheet rock walls. Saved me a lot joint compound and sanding to make things smooth. Really like them a lot. You will also.

Not As Good As They Used To Be!
Would RecommendHad a pack of these I purchased in 2018. Used them whenever I needed to shim drywall or wallboard prior to tiling and they were great. I finally used them all up so I ordered another back this year (2025) These are not the same product! They are now made of a cheaper, softer, less dense material making them no where near as substantial as their original product. The new version is softer which makes them more fragile as well as more water absorbent... which I'd rather not have in a shower wall ...

Great for remodeling old houses
Would RecommendFaster and easier than making wood shims. I like that you can tear them to length with your hands and create tapers by stacking different numbers of layers together.

Great and flexible
Would RecommendFlexible as your measuring your stud. Easy to cut and add or subtract where needed. Used with a laser level I plumbed an 8 foot wall in 30 minutes.
