Great cam

Very user friendly and extremely easy to navigate the app. The picture quality is actually pretty impressive compared to some of the other cams. The price is so reasonable it makes you worry it will have issues or not be a quality cam but it is. Def recommend getting a couple and trying it out.

Great features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Clear picture The set up was super simple and it probably took me about 5 minutes from opening the box to fully operational nestcam. This camera is definitely better than one of those cheap, never-heard-of-companys' security cameras. I know because I owned one before.

Cabin eyes

When we are not there, we like to be able to see what’s going on outside with the surrounding wildlife and now that the winter snow is on its way! Any device that can download the app either nest or Google home can use this really easily. It has great angle view and the night vision works great. It was easy to set up and I did not have any issues in that department. I like that I could link it to my phone and existing google devices. I like that it has a two way speaker and mic.

Better than the competitors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is super sharp and pairs well with all of my other nest products. I am really appreciating the alerts to help me know the difference between my dog, and my wife (or anybody else). Video encryption is actually a really important thing for my family... the idea of someone being able to see my video freaks me out. But nest makes that near impossible, which is a huge advantage

Excellent product

Best camera out there!

I have had MANY cameras over the years, from expensive to super cheap and based on all the features and quality - the NEST is the best. The picture is always so clear and the features are great. Yes it does require a monthly payment - but so do all the other cameras out there, that are cloud enabled. High recommend.

Great once installed with just a couple hiccups

Beware - these do not work with Nest App

This camera will not work with the standard Nest app. These new models will only work with the Google Home app. The Google Home app is terrible for monitoring your cameras, making clips, reviewing history, etc. Google is forcing people to switch from Nest, which is a great app. There's no warning about this. Set up is also not as easy as before. It also has far less range of motion and adjustment than the Nest IQ cameras.

What Google doesn't want you to know.

What Google doesn't want you to know is that this product doesn't work with your Nest account. It requires Google Home, which is the service that works with their smart speaker product line. No thank you. After doing a bit more research, turns out many developers in the construction space have also abandoned Google Nest products for the same reason, as Google Home isn't compatible with many of the other devices that the developers install on behalf of their buyers.

Easy to use with great image

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this camera to be able to keep an eye on my grandmother who still lives on her own but still needs to be checked on throughout the day. This camera with the app helps me to be able to check on her at any time without spending gas money or missing work just to check especially when she doesn’t answer the phone. The camera shows a great clear image with great versatility and options.
