The post came undamaged and very nicely finished. Instructions were pretty simple and the unit looks very nice.

Sturdy Post

I thought it came in a black color but this brown color works well too.It blends well with my black mailbox and the design is simple but with really nice clean lines

What a Great Product !

I have read other people's reviews, but I must say, I'm not sure why others are submitting negative reviews for this product. It was very easy to assemble, and I just trimmed my wooden mailbox post with my reciprocating saw to allow it to slip right over it. A few screws to secure it and I was done.

Does not work for oversized mail boxes

Good product for standard sized mailboxes. I have an oversized box and the mounting plate did not line up with the mounting holes for that box. I had to make a mounting plate to use it.

Good solid mailbox post. Love how it attaches to the post. I did put over an existing post and drilled holes instead of putting the sleeves for the screws in for the mailbox mount part. The instructions have the mailbox mount above the post. My screws go through the wood post. I believe this has made it much sturdier and I am honestly not sure why this isn't their intention. But I really like the mailbox!

Easy to assemble, however holes in bracket did not fit my mailbox. I had to drill extra holes in the aluminum mailbox which was difficult and time consuming.

Hence the three star rating. There is no mention anywhere about have to drill through your wooden post to install this. Also, the accompanying mailbox bracket does not match up correctly with the Gibraltar mail box I purchased. Only two screw holes ended up matching the bracket holes.

Very nice look to the mailbox post

I like the Bronze mailbox post a lot. I dislike the screws that come with it because the head strips very easily.

I JUST finished putting it up today! I love the bronze metal! Fairly easy to do on my own. The only thing I wish they'd done is give the dark colored screw for the bottom post connectors... everything else visible to the eye blends with the post color. I'm not letting that distract from the beauty and sturdiness of the product. My neighbors have commented about it already. Sent pics to the fam... every last one says, "OOHH, I LOVE IT!" It's unanimous!

I would just use your own screws , the screws were very weak. But beautiful mailbox

Solid

This purchase is the second post I bought. The first was damaged by a trailer being pulled by a truck. The original was twisted until the welding of the bracket to the post broke loose. The steel is strong beyond my ability to bend or hammer back into shape.

It works

The post works. It’s easy to put together and install on the 4x4 post that you buy separately and cement into the ground. The only problem is that the screws supplied to attach the cap to the top of the mailbox post are too wide to fit into the predrilled holes. I had some screws that worked but Gibraltar should realized their supplied screws don’t fit.

Pros: Sharp looking. Cons: They send some regular steel screws that will rust.
