We purchased all GE Profile stainless steel appliances when we updated our kitchen about 18 years ago. Over the past 4 years, each has been replaced, again purchasing the Profile line. The original fridge was solid, not like the "lesser caliber" stainless steel that's used today. Really hated to let it go, It was so solidly built, but wasn't worthwhile repairing. So deep, so ugly,
Would Not RecommendI've never been so stressed about anything as I am about this refrigerator box. It's so deep, so ugly, and it's in my kitchen. I've had to pay thousands of dollars to replace my entire kitchen, and even then it doesn't look good. It looks like an ordinary box. I don't know why, since the refrigerator inside isn't even spacious. It also has the plastic they removed stuck to it, and I haven't been able to get it off no matter how hard I try. Poor Build and constant problems
Would Not RecommendWe did get the 5 year protection plan and thank goodness.. We have had issues with this several times just within the first 2 years of ownership. the latest issue caused service to come 2 times and still have not corrected the problem. We are asking at this point how long will it take to say .. these people need a new fridge.. In summary.. Do not buy

Thermal Pop
Would Not RecommendAll of my appliances are GE, love all of them with the exception of this refrigerator. The “thermal pop” is real and it is loud. I waited a few months to write a review to see if the pop went away……it has not. I would not recommend this refrigerator based on the excess noise.
