I bought this fridge to replace an LG fridge that was only six years old and that was going to cost $1900 to repair (yeah, I burst out laughing at the repairman on that one). He warned me away from LG fridges since he said their compressors had gone downhill of late and recommended GE, so I did some research and ended up with this model. Freezer and Icemaker Died within 10 Days
***UPDATE: 7/14/26 *** Not only did the icemaker die, the freezer unit itself died, within 10 days of purchase and installation. What a piece of junk! I really regret buying this product. GE owes me for all my lost groceries!!! *** PREVIOUSLY: 7/7/26*** Just bought a brand new GE profile fridge and the icemaker croaked within two weeks. Can anyone make an icemaker that just works? LOL

Small
Not enough refrigerator area kind of misleading. It looks like when you’re looking at it a lot of refrigerator area but definitely too small sad otherwise the refrigerator is beautiful, but it does definitely need to be redone.
Has No door accessories
I love the size of the refrigerator. It did not have any door accessories for condiments. The ones that came with refrigerator was not for this refrigerator. I went back to the store and the supervisor told me to call GE and tell them that the shelves are not for this refrigerator and see if they will let me exchange.

Interior design affects storage
Placing the ice maker in the door cuts down on storage available on the door and makes the interior of the door bulky. Our old GE Profile had the ice maker in the freezer itself, not only allowing for much more usable space in the refrigerator, but also allowing for a lot more ice to be available. It would also be preferable to have the "convertible" drawer get cold enough to be used as a freezer. This model may have 27.9 Cu. Ft. of storage but it is not designed for optimal use of that spa...
