What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the microwave for reliable heating, attractive design, and intuitive controls. Most highlight quick, even heating with powerful output and effective sensor cooking. Many appreciate the sleek appearance in slate and stainless steel finishes, straightforward installation, and user-friendly features like the add 30 seconds button and quiet operation. Some note strong brand loyalty from long-lasting previous models. However, a small group reports premature failures, loud fans, or door handle breakage within months, raising durability concerns among longtime users. Good performance but mounting is not standardized
Would RecommendThis unit replaced a previous 12 year old GE Space Maker over the range microwave. After 2 weeks of installed use, the unit itself is working flawlessly. I do not see why, however, that on the same brand the wall mounting bracket and top support bolts are not in the same standardized position. This is also true of the rear vent, if one wishes to vent it through the outside wall, although it does align sufficiently enough (but not exactly) to do so if that is how you position the internal blower ...

Flimsy door, but good microwave
Would RecommendI bought this microwave to replace the exact same one I had for 10+ years. I’m a little disappointed because it feels more flimsy; like it was made with cheap materials. As for its functions, they work fine. Overall it’s a good microwave.

Very Disappointed – Expensive Microwave Stopped
We are extremely disappointed with this microwave. We have a brand-new home with brand-new appliances, so we certainly did not expect to have an issue with such an expensive appliance this soon. The microwave has already stopped heating food, which is completely unacceptable considering its age and price. This has become more than just an inconvenience for our family. We have a disabled son who is very particular about his food, and we depend on the microwave every night to prepare and warm his ...

junk
Would Not RecommendNever ending issues with this microwave. Thermal fuse blew first 2 months. Tech couldn't figure it out after coming over 3 times. Used spare parts I had to fix it from my last microwave (just the fuse same rating) and after a year the heating element failed and stopped working. horrible microwave.
Broken from the start
I bought this Microwave on August 31st. Got the cabinets in and went to mount it on Sept 21st. Found the nuts for the mounting brackets were loose in the cabinet and dropped inside. Took it back to Lowes. Discovered there is a 48 hour return policy. WHAT a shocker. I have a brand new microwave that can't be mounted. I was told sorry call GE. Never getting an appliance from Lowes again.

Everything seems great but the automatic vent fan
Would RecommendEverything works great.. the automatic fan I really don't like.. It comes on and is impossible to override and turn off. I get that's a "safety feature", but make the thing more quiet!

GE OVER THE STOVE MICROWAVE
Would RecommendLove this microwave. Our other one was built into the wall and this is much better. The light even has night light or surface light option.

Big Disappointment
I bought this to replace old GE microwave, which for us about 25 years and few years before for original house owners. This one we have only 6 years. SENSOR broke after first year. MAGNETRON burn out today. Very disappointed with quality. Also, I had scratch on the door and wanted to replace the door, but as a spare part door cost almost as half price of new unit.
