Worked As Expected

My aunt's laundry room fluorescent fixture would not light up correctly, even after new bulbs. Decided to change 20 yr. old ballast to new electronic unit. It was easy to install. Now the 2 bulb 4' fixture switches on every time. No more flashlights for my auntie! Highly recommend!

Works great; a little slow to start

Pauses for about 1 second between light bulbs lighting in 2-light flourescent ceiling mount. Otherwise, terrific.

I have always had good results with the GE universal band of ballasts and this purchase was no different!

Only use genuine GE branded electronic ballasts

I am re-ballasting 12 fixtures in an old shop that was originally built in 1965 with mag ballasts. Lowes only had 5 GE electronic ballasts so I had to pick up the remainder at "that other home improvement place". When performing side by side, the GE branded ballasts light quicker, are brighter, and exhibit less flicker at colder temps than the Brand X items. Had I known I would have just waited for a Lowe's re-stock and installed all GE items. Now that I know, I'm insisting on GE branded ballast...

Works perfectly

Bought two to replace both ballasts in a 4 lamp T12 fixture.

Ballasts were just what was needed

Fluorescent bulbs dim and flickering. Purchased new bulbs with no improvement. Purchased the ballasts which were easy to install which the ceiling light still in position. The bulbs were brighter than ever and the light came on much faster in the cold weather very pleased. Not only great purchase but able to use my military 10% discount.

First ballast lasted 18 years, so very durable!

My lights were flickering in my garage on one of my fluorescent lights for the better part of a year, but it came on after 30 seconds or so, and the others were 'out'. A new ballast to match the T12 light size (T4 = 1/2", T8 = 1", T12 = 1.5"), and replacement was fast and easy...I can see again! Why did I wait so long? Good price too, better than buying new fixtures!

electric change

needed a new ballast. replaced my old one. very easy and I was able to keep my old fixture that has a wide metal shield that the new fixtures do not have.

Just right

The fluorescent light in my in-laws' kitchen went out. I replaced the ballast with this and it now works great. Make sure you get the right ballast for your light!
