Great Product

We use this regularly on lower sloped porches. It works great and I would say the guys commenting negatively on the product don’t know how to install it or represent another brand shingle.

Good product for no-leak roofing

Easy to work with. Good product that is heavier and thicker for long life.

Even experienced companies can't get this to stick properly

3 months after install. Material does not stick properly and rolls onto itself. Poor quality manufacturing.

Liberty self adhering cap sheet

This is garbage it doesn’t stick to anything not even itself I wouldn’t recommend it

Easy application, but hard to find primer!

No idea why it’s so hard to find self-adhesive rolled roofing in Houston, but it was incredibly difficult to find this (in any color). Used for my flat-roof shed. Easy to apply. The hardest part is finding the ASTM D41 primer! None of my big box stores had it in stock! Had to drive 40 min for spray-can version. Seems pretty durable, will-see.

GAF Peel and Stick from Lowes

Purchased a 100 sq ft roll and it only covered 93 sq ft, but at the time I did not know this as I only used 54 sq ft for my then project. This time the new roll was only 90 sq ft and I came up short by 10 sq ft. Also the release paper on the top edge was different and it was coming loose out of the package, which made cutting and rolling 12' strips difficult to unroll on the roof as everything tried to stick together, and thus I ended up with air pockets all over the place. No Slope Asphalt self adheasive roofing material

It worked perfect for my well house cover but they should sell roll in 1/3 amount, what a waste of material but could not find anything out there in a smaller cubic feet of roll.

Split backing makes for easier applications. Peel and stick is great!

Almost no grade roof

Used product to cover slight grade roof..easy to handle with cement.

Does not last!

I put this up on my flat roof to get a few more years use out of it. I overlapped rows by 8". Within 2 years all the edges had curled and waved enough to allow water past the overlaps. Granted, it is a flat roof that gets full sun all day, and is connected to the house on two sides, so the water is deep up there during a heavy rain. But bottom line, it was a big waste of time and money.

long term answer to a low pitch roof

Propper application requires cleaning and painting the surface prior to application;but this does really improve the adhesion. A more expensive option to traditional roll roofing but propperly applied this produce can virtually stop all blowing water and freeze dam damage.

GAF Liberty Underlayment

This product is amazing. It is very easy to install, there is no mess and clean up is a breeze. This was my first attempt at re-doing my roof and I nailed it. I still have to put the Cap sheet on but I see no problems with it.

Easy Peasy

I also bought the GAF material that goes under the top sheet. This was pretty easy to install, but it's heavier than the bottom sheet, so just beware when hauling it up a ladder. Both items I ordered online from Lowes because HD didn't carry the bottom sheet. I'm very happy with the results and would recommend it.

Please read product description before buying

The only bad reviews for this product are from individuals that stated they used this product on flat roofs. In the product description it states DO NOT USE on roofs with less than a 2:12 pitch. And they want to know why there was major water intrusion when it rained. Before buying any product you have to read the specs and description to make sure the product is made to do what you want it to do.
