this products works very well for installing pvc trim boards no screw holes to see ,screws are covered by pvc plug that covers up the screw hole, easy to use, would recommend its use,

Easy to strip the screw head if you do not let off the trigger right at the end.

Great Kit for PVC boards!

Saw this on pbs This Old House show. Just what I was looking for. But the price is a bit high $20.00 a box at my local Lowes!

I was skeptical of this product due to the price, however after using it, I LOVED IT!! Easy to use. Does a nice clean job.

completes the job

These screws and plugs make the job so easy and it covers up the hole very well. I don't know how long the plugs will keep on looking good, only time will tell that. Manufacture needs to have various package combinations and sizes. Larger quantities and better price.

Works as expected with Royal PVC

I used these for attaching my deck risers (Royal Moulding PVC) and trim. While not completely invisible they are hard to see unless you are looking for them. This driver drives the screw a bit deeper than is needed and a bit deeper than I'd like but the boards still hold properly. I found that using a square-drive bit I was able to back some out of the holes that had run askew due to hitting a nail (capped that hole and drove the screw in another position), just don't use the square drive to put...

Some quality issues

I've gone through a couple boxes of these and have found about 3 or 4 bad screws per box. The problem with the bad screws is that the coating does not allow the square driver bit to fit properly and so slips in the middle of driving the screw which then mangles the head as well as the bit. And then you can't get the screw out easily and have a mess on your hands. No problems with the plugs. Considering the high price, I'm not sure these are a good value. Cortex for Rot Free PVC Trim Boards

Extremely easy to use except for trying to get those little plugs to stay in place while you hammer them in. Beyond that, this is hardware for the "brain dead" and did a great job.

Very high quality product and easy to use. If you're looking for fastener concealment, it's tough to get better than this. Unfortunately, you will pay the price for this kit. $20.00 will get you 75 screws with plenty of plastic plugs and the driver tool included. Not too hateful and I wanted the nice finished look, so I spent the money and glad I did. NOTE: You will need a plastic faced hammer or plastic punch to drive the plugs flush without dimpling your boards! Plugs are a tight fit!

Awesome!!

Other than the cost of this little box of jewels, these things rock. Installed the pvc trim on my house over this past week. This little kit cut the install time in half. Went right in no problems, with great holding power. Covered the holes the top of the screw cuts into the pvc with the plastic plugs in the kit, can't even tell there was ever any hole drilled. You get about 50% more plugs in the kit than you get screws. Probably a good thing, because the plugs are hard to hold onto.

These screws countersink themselves and secure the PVC trim very well. They also come with a plug to cover the hole. Nice product, easy to use. Will buy again.

Look in the box first

The screws worked well - but when I got back from Lowes the small screw head was round - it did not have the square tip. Going back to the store was too far so I had to use a square tip I had and do it by making a jig. If it was square as it should have been I would think it would have worked well - just make sure.

Works well

works well and fast, even looks good on the textured side of the trim. Just a little pricey but nice to be done with it quickly and not have to go back and putty up the holes.
