Not as promised

Even though the description says that it's comparable to the GE brand, it doesn't fit, therefore making it useless.

Less expensive filter

Water tastes good and filter seems to be working just fine.

doesnt fit, don't believe the 5-star comments

Description said it would fit, but it doesn't. Returning ASAP. Don't believe the five-star reviews--they're probably all fake. And note to manufacturer: No, I won't contact you or visit your Facebook website. Correctly manufacture your products.

Had to return

This product claimed that it was compatible to my GE refrigerator. I have bought generic brands before so I purchased it. It did not work and I had to return it.

Good product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent product. It is easy to use and install. Water tastes great. Love to be able to use my fridge for water as opposed to buying water bottles and contributing to the plastic waste issue. Have had it installed for a few months now and I don't notice any changes so far.

Doesn’t fit

The box and the filter state that it will fit a GE refrigerator that uses size “GW MWF”. Do not believe them. I pull my old filter and tried to install this one and it would never fit. My old GE filter had arrows to line up the filter and other markings. This piece of junk had none. When I compared the filter it was a good 1/4 inch shorter than the original. Save yourself the frustration and buy another brand, preferably the GE brand. At least you’ll know it will fit and you won’t be stuck with ...

DOES NOT WORK

Does not work in our GE refrigerator. Returning it.

Doesn't Fit!!

Just as others said this filter doesn't fit; bad business decision to sell these.

Will cause damage

This filter does not fit correctly and will damage the filter head and cause it to leak. I now have to replace the filter head as well as the filter. Do not buy this.

Works like it should

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Definitely does what it's supposed to. Recently the water from my fridge has started to not taste as fresh as it used to. And after installing this filter into the fridge it never tastes so much better just like when I first bought the fridge

Doesn’t Fit

Doesn’t fit GE refrigerator, despite what the packaging claims. Hopefully Lowe’s takes it back

Filters water

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Still using the G1 filter in the fridge. Still filtering the water the way I want it too!! No more bottled water in the house. My kids like the convience of filtered water knowing it doesn't have harmful bateria

Does not fit

Bought as a replacement for GE filter. It does not engage in my GE refrigerator. Total waste of my time and money.

Doesn’t fit my GE

I would give it a zero if that was an option. Like several others, it does not fit my GE fridge. Worse, it had obviously been returned by another customer and put back on the shelf to be sold as new. Should have at least been labeled as open box. Bad business Lowes.

Won't fit

Bought this filter at Lowe's. They had these instead. I've never had a problem getting the GE filter on, it just wouldn't go.

Not much of a value...

Cannot get the filter installed - lead edge of the mounting ring appears to be too thick to engage the filter housing of my GE refrigerator. Issue goes away when I buy the GE-branded filter.

NOT REPLACEMENT FOR GE MWF FILTER

Bought this as a replacement for a GE refrigerator that typically uses MWF filter. Says on the package “compare to MWF.” You can compare of you want to... but it doesnt work.

Does what it’s meant to do

Fit perfect, does what it suppose to. $20 cheaper then the GE brand!

Water taste good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hooked it up, easy to install. Water taste like bottled water from the store. So far we are loving this filter. The directions were easy, installation took just a few minutes. We have a Frigidaire and it fit perfect.
