Would Not RecommendBought this to use to hold moisture for plants. Put it in a 1-gallon pot and saturated it many times with water with a moisture instrument in the mulch. It continued to read DRY. Real Hardwood mulch holds moisture. Softwood does not hold moisture. Therefore, this is something other than hardwood. Buyer beware.

Would RecommendThis is my second time purchasing this product. I made a garden on a hillside and needed a good mulch to stabilize the areas where there were no plants. This mulch functioned very well in this application, moving very little and not much product loss or deterioration. I am reinforcing my original application for this year.

More like dirt and horrible smell
Would Not RecommendIve used evergreen mulch many times. This “mulch” is more like lumpy dirt. It also has a very dtrong manure odor. Will probably try another brand next time.
