Ratings & Reviews for EGO POWER+ Commercial 56-volt 12-in Battery Chainsaw Battery Not Included Charger Not Included

Love this thing!

I was skeptical that an electric chainsaw would get the job done, but my wife talked me into it. I'm glad she did! I used this to cut down 2 medium-sized trees so far and didn't need hearing protection. My family was near me and still able to hold a conversation. This has as much power as my old gas-powered saw, if not a little more. I wish the battery lasted longer, but not having to mess with a gas mixture is totally worth it. I usually use a saw on smaller jobs than a whole tree, so this is ...

Pleasantly surprised about all my concerns

I am all around pleased with this chainsaw. The 5Ah battery with standard charger holds the charge plenty long, and recharges from 50% power to full charge in easily less than an hour. I have so far gone out for a couple hours at a time clearing fallen trees from our trails, some 8"-10" in diameter and will come back to the house with no less than 50% charge still left. I find the cutting speed similar to my ECHO 18" gas model. It takes about 1-2 seconds to build up to full cutting speed but I h...

Just need to get used to how the saw chain speed

My first battery powered chain saw. Very pleased with level of power and duration of charge. (Comparable to a 45cc gas saw without the starting/restarting issues. The slow initial chain speed of the saw when the power trigger is pulled is somewhat discerning (it take 2-3 seconds to reach full speed) but not an issue once you get used to it.

Cuts well,Convenient

Cut 18 trees this weekend with this and an 18" gas Husquvarna chainsaw. Trees were between 12" and 30" diameter - almost all pine. Ego pros: Convenient Was really nice being able to set it down and pick it up, no chain pulling, no fuss just pull the trigger. Noise (or lack thereof) being able to hear others, and the reduced noise also reduced general fatigue. Fumes (lack thereof) Vibration (lack thereof) significantly less vibration Cons: Not quite as powerful as the Husky, didn't spin up...

Battery not as published.

5 hour battery only works for 1 - 1.5 hours on a full charge. Chain tends to jump off bar with tight cuts. I expected more for the price paid.

Ego saw

took too long to get

Excellent Product

Worked great for our yard work clean-up after a recent storm knocked down several trees.

It took a few seconds to operate the chainsaw.

It is everything they said it was: easy to use, powerful, good battery life.

like a knife thru butter

plenty of power

A heavy duty electric chainsaw for serious work

Powerful, quiet, low maintenance, easy adjustable chain tension. This thing has it all and then some. The only drawback is the weight. The battery is heavy, but that is to be expected. I suppose as heavy as a comparable 42cc gas-powered chainsaw, but with a fraction of the maintenance and none of the noxious fumes you get from an ICE chainsaw. I chopped a carpenter ants-infested cranberry tree in less than 45 minutes and with a single charge. When I finished I still had over a quarter of the bat...

Things an animal

Will cut 22” logs

Good saw needs better chain

Saw worked good but the chain only lasted for one cut no very happy

Impressive Power

Bought the 18" chainsaw a month ago to cut up half of a maple tree that came down from wind storm. As long as the chain is sharp and the battery full, it was able to cut very fast and well thru logs that were wider than the 18 inch chain. The battery life is dependent on the thickness and density of the wood I cut but it was what I expected. The only problem was that chain was not getting oiled. I used regular bar oil when I first started using it but never got much oil on the chain. Read on th...

Great saw!

Lots of power, well balanced, assembly piece of cake. Chain seems a bit tight and adjustments loosen bar too much. I think with some use and chain stretch it will be fine?
