Excellent Power in an Electric Chainsaw

The 56 V 5 Amp-Hr motor powers this chainsaw better than any other electric chainsaw I have used. It makes hundreds of cuts on a single charge and is light enough for me to use for a couple of hours straight. It easily cut through 12 inch diameter ponderosa pines.

Nice chainsaw

Nice saw. quiet, well balanced.

everything is written on the box

The sale guy that showed me the saw was very helpful and the check out lady "Tina" helped me get my Veteran Discount...........excellent.

Good for light / occasional use

No muss, no fuss with mixing gas and oil, pulling the starting rope over and over, keeping it running... pick it up, squeeze the trigger, and it starts. Let go, and it stops. WAY simpler than the saw it replaces, and quite suitable for the occasional homeowner use model. I'll be easily able to keep my supply of firewood topped up. I can't say how it would do if you had a project that involved hours and hours of cutting, because that's not what I need to do with it.

Solid Electric Chainsaw

Did quite a bit of research on electric chainsaws. Popular Mechanics pointed me towards this one. Solid choice. Good price point, especially for occasional residential use. It cut through a large branch that fell from a tree in my yard (average 10-12” diameter, about 15’ long). Chopped it up into 20-30 smaller pieces to burn. The saw easily cut through the branch. Battery still had about 1/2 charge left when the job was done. Impressive. Just remember to tighten the chain!

Chain oiler doesn't work

Have only used this saw a few times. Battery didn't last long and overheated. I noticed the chain is pretty dry. I am using the ego brand chain oil and have checked the oil hole and it isn't blocked. I am pretty frustrated given the price of this saw.

I purchased the EGO Power+, and after charging the battery overnight, I removed some medium-sized branches with no problems. The saw performance was excellent. It cut as well as my gas saws and with much less noise. It's a little heavier than suspected due to its large battery, but still easy to handle. Also, I did notice that the saw required adding a sufficient supply of oil for the bar and chain before operating. So, I recommend having some on hand. So, I'm delighted with my new EGO.

Plymouth mtg Lowes

Just bought this saw, after opening the box, clearly it was previously used, wood chips all over the inside of the box and the blades slightly chewed up. My Lowe’s just put it right back on the shelf for the next buyer(me). Thanks for the waste of 2 trips. Not going back

Ordered a new item; Lowes sent a used one

I ordered a new 18" Ego chainsaw on sale online, but Lowes sent me a used one in a dilapidated box. They also made the return process as complicated as possible. I needed to physically return the item 45 minutes away to an actual Lowes store because their returns system was not working, and they couldn't guarantee it would be back up in the 48-hour return window timeframe. Awesome job guys -- I'm never ordering anything from Lowes ever again.

Great purchase

I really like the ease of use and the power it has. Made the after storm clean up much easier.

Great chain saw

Replaced an old gas Poulon and it is fantastic. Cut down 3 pines and turned them into firewood with this saw. Really does do as well as a gas.
