Chain tensioner is JUNK

Opened the box got the battery charging and read the manual. I wanted to see how the chain tensioner works. Took it off and could never get in back on correctly. Went online and there are tons of videos of the same problem. Returned the saw. Got the 20” and it has a traditional chainsaw chain tensioner and nuts.

Great Chainsaw

Awesome chainsaw, just put in the chain oil and you are ready to go. It has plenty of power and makes short work of any cutting task. Highly recommend this saw for the homeowner who has occassional use for a chain saw.

Weight of Chainsaw

The chainsaw weighs 22.7 pounds and is pretty heavy to handle. It was too heavy for me and exchanged it for a 16" without ever using it. Something for you to consider.

Great Battery Powered Chainsaw

A great chainsaw, especially for older women that don't have the upper body strength to start a traditional chainsaw with a recoil start engine.

You need mussels just like a gas saw .

I cut two good sized trees and still had battery left . Very good saw !

Fatal tensioner flaw!

This saw worked great when I first got it. Chain tensioner auto tightened which was nice. I cut 1 20 inch tree down with this and did some storm cleanup successfully. I'm currently standing at the 3rd job I've used this saw for and it's thrown the chain 3 times and will now no longer tighten. Fail

Battery operated

Can't return after 48 hours

This has a cord tethering the saw to a battery pack on your waist. Seems like an accident waiting to happen. I ordered the next size up without the tether. When I went to take the unused still in the box saw back within 2 weeks, I was told I could not return it after 48 hours. I had no idea the return window was so small. It seems pretty ridiculous.

Excellent product

Excellent and very easy to use. This gets the job done without dealing with gas.

Don't Buy EGO

After about a year and used twice. The saw will not run. Sent to an authorized repair facility (Northern Tool) for diagnosis. Due to internal failures, they're requesting to EGO for it to be replaced. EGO has had the recommendation for 10 days and no response. Apparently, they can't make a decision without the parent company's approval. Don't Buy EGO!!!

2-3 year review Charger stopped working

Bought this chainsaw 2 or 3 years ago and it worked well other than the chain popping off anytime you try to cut vines and small sapling trees. But recently my charger stopped working. I called ego "customer service", waited 45 minutes before speaking with anyone. And all they told me was the charger was no longer under warranty. When you pay this much money for something you expect it to last a longer. Their customer service is a joke and they offered nothing to me for this negative experienc...
