Excellent engineering

This saw handles very nicely and is very comparable in performance to the best gas saws I was used to. I don't miss at all the idling, exhaust, noise, grease, and fuel mixing aspects of the gas systems, and the expensive battery is worth it so far.

The World's First Crew-Served Chainsaw

This is the third different brand of chainsaw I have owned. It cuts like a champion (the first time you use it at least), but it is FAR AND AWAY the most difficult saw to reassemble after cleaning. Actually, I never got it back together. The chain drive housing literally would not go back on. The chain itself twists if you look at it funny, and, unlike my other two saws, untwisting this chain is basically impossible. Cuts stronger than i thought

I like most everything about this saw. What has come in very handy is the fact I can rise at 6am and cut up fallen trees without waking my neighbors. No mixing fuel is another plus along with no starting problems. I know there won't be any rotted gas lines at the end of the year. It is heavy and a little light on power.

Versatile power source.

The 56-volt battery delivers plenty of power and is the same power source for all my Ego tools. These tools are extremely well engineered. I would recommend this saw to anyone who needs a fossil fuel free, portable, lightweight machine that can handle most small farm jobs.

This thing is legit. Coming from a gas Stihl saw i was looking for a 40v Kobalt option for property maintenance. This saw exceeded my expectations, though a bit heavy. I intend to use it for bucking up 12-18" diameter trunks and branches for splitting. I have probably made 70 cuts on eco mode before having to recharge the battery but thats always a good time to take a break anyways. Im not selling my gas saw anytime soon but for the price i could not beat this saw.

EXCELLENT WEIGHT

I am very happy with the cutting power and vibration. Battery died a little faster than I expected. The grib was excellent and make the saw easy to handle. The weight is incredible compared to even my former 18 ince gas powered chain saw.

It's an excellent chainsaw because i proved it to myself by cutting up 2ft diameter oak tree without any problems just fast efficient cutting chain then job was done down here in south Texas. I highly recommend this trouble-free with easy operation and a battery that keeps constant needed power to get done.

Not as powerful as its gas powered equivalent. This is not a light weight saw either.
