Would Not RecommendSaw worked nice but to get the bar tight enough so it would not spontaneously loosen it made the chain so tight it would barely run. This loosening that is hard to detect during use resulted in the chain cutting into the light which although it was not even on, fried the control board. Now, after just three years, EGO has decided to stop making the required control boards although this model is still offered for sale. I guess all of the ones sold from here on can also just go to the landfill if ...

Would RecommendThis chainsaw was my Christmas present, although I couldn't get one for Christmas and my wife gave me an "IOU." We finally found and purchased one. Would RecommendLove the fact that it does not smoke like 2 cycle saws. Powerful, plenty of power for around home use. 18" bar will handle most anything. Construction seems good. It's ready to work whenever I'm ready to use it. And I got a super deal there before Christmas.
