Solid product with a few caveats

Used only once so far. Generally pleased with it although 2 issues. 1) sawdust gathers and compresses in the cavity at the bottom of the blade by the bucking spikes and needs to be completely cleaned out periodically otherwise the saw stops. 2) use a larger battery (5 or 6Ah) as a smaller battery will overheat.

I used it today, and it worked very well. The battery was still full after working for about 2 hours.

Bar Never Stayed Tight and it Destroyed the Saw

Saw worked nice but to get the bar tight enough so it would not spontaneously loosen it made the chain so tight it would barely run. This loosening that is hard to detect during use resulted in the chain cutting into the light which although it was not even on, fried the control board. Now, after just three years, EGO has decided to stop making the required control boards although this model is still offered for sale. I guess all of the ones sold from here on can also just go to the landfill if ...
