Awesome thermostat!

Does a great job meeting all our needs. We have it at our second home/cottage, and set up its temperature alerts. It saved us one winter when it alerted us about low temperatures in the house, and we were able to get the faulty furnace repaired before any plumbing pipes got frozen and ruptured. Easy voice control with Alexa. The phone app is great and lets us warm the cottage up in the winter or cool it down in the summer before we get there.

Help available if wiring is different than expect

Called the number in the setup info to get more detailed information. The knowledgeable rep helped me get it wired correctly because one wire color was not shown on the expected connections. Once it was connected they helped me do basic settings to get the thermostat working. The thermostat is working well and is easy to make temporary or quick changes.

Easy to use.

It's very easy to use, so simple. It replaces an analog unit at least a couple decades old and difficult to read. Installation may be another issue as I paid someone to do it.

We have four ECOBEE thermostats to handle our various zones that we have to deal with and couldn’t be happier with the ease of use, both manually as well as the ease of use remotely from our phones. We greatly prefer the ECOBEE simplicity to NESTs that we had which were too caught up in being super efficient frankly at the expense of our comfort

It does the job, but not the best of the Ecobee

I've had the product a month now. I installed it myself and the installation instructions in the app were great. I have the Smart Thermostat Enhanced in a different house and thought this would be a good choice. While it does what it is supposed to do, the smaller screen makes it harder to make changes. Things that on on the main screen in my Enhanced are on a secondary screen in the Essential and harder to find. Also I find the the Essential lets the temperature vary much more than the Enhanced...

Easy to use

This thermostat is very easy to use. The app is great to control the temperature while I’m away. And the rebate on it was even better!

Had unit for 2 was. It is amazing how little our furnace runs. Under 1/2 hr a day. Great way of tracking temps. Inside,outside,humidity, and how long furnace runs. Gadget cool guy thing. I like tech.

Case #02706455 EXTREAMLY DIFFICULT to get help!

Have been back and forth by email and a couple calls BUT ISSUE NOT RESOLVED. Now they don’t want to communicate with me. I get "Thermostat sensor detected motion" hundred times a day 😡. Just want these to STOP. Today I called in twice and opted for a call back each time and I’m unable get on the line, they leave a message saying call back 😡. Why not just keep calling back.
