Extra room sensors for custom comfort
Would RecommendI now have 5 remote sensors and they're set to be used only when the room is occupied. I really feel that they help keep the house comfortable in the rooms we're using, and I'm not paying to heat/cool a room that's unoccupied. It's great for our two story house with a basement that only has one furnace.

Would RecommendNot only do I use these sensors to determine the temperature in different rooms, but I can also use these sensors for their motion detection in my SmartThings app. The sensitivity is great. I have used these to turn on lights automatically when I am detected in the room and to shut them off when I leave. These are much more that remote temperature sensors. These are smart home must haves.

Would RecommendNo other thermostat solution has remote sensors that enable the tracking of temperature in different areas of the house. Which results in temp. only being monitored where the thermostat is, which may or may not be where people are in the house. I have 6 remote sensors throughout our home.

Would RecommendMy ecobee3 came with a room sensor, but since my house is fairly spread out, I wanted to add a few more sensors to fine tune my thermostat. I love them! They not only show the temperature of the room they're in, but the thermostat can use that info to average out the temperature of the house and give more precise readings. O.k. transmitting distance
Would RecommendObviously the idea of taking multiple points of temperature data across my house is great for averaging temperatures and saving HVAC money. I do wish there was a bit more of the read range to the sensors as they struggle to reach my kids room at the other side of the house and constantly connect and disconnect. I've had to move the sensor just outside of their room to keep it connected.
