They don't work!

We have had them send out THREE replacements and no matter what we do, we can't get these to sync with our ecobee, we finally just had to give up on two of the three new ones that we bought.....and the ones that do sync, have completely wrong Temps. We're sweating profusely in our home, yet the sensors say our home is at 68°. It's like a sauna. We're so disappointed in Ecobee products.

Sensors work, but not in the best way.

So I got a two pack of ecobee sensors yesterday, it is a good idea but don't work the best as it averages out the temperatures and prioritizes the room you are in. So as I was downstairs it was warmer and the heat did not kick in making the temperatures upstairs drop slightly but more in my room as no heat was running. I usually keep my heat at 21.5 but the temperature in my room was 20, so when occupied the furnace had to run long and hard to get it up to 21.5. As I prioritize that room it...

Lacks of an adequate wall mount

Product will not mount on the wall using the supplied wall mount. This failure turns a great idea into a waste of money

Didn’t work

It literally was a dud for me. I followed all the onboarding and troubleshooting steps and it never registered on my Ecobee. For reference, I’m the CTO of my company so it’s not for lack of understanding how to set these things up. It just simply was a dud. Still waiting for a refund but we’ll see.

Waste of Money and experience

I bought these smart sensors thinking they would help determine hot and cold spots throughout my house and they never work. They say a room is occupied when no one is even in there. I’ve got five of these through the house, now two years old. One has completely stopped working and another drops in and out. Replaced the batteries to no avail l.

Amazing difference to our home climate

These satellite sensors have completely changed the climate dynamics of our home. Let me explain. We live in a 100+ yo brownstone with small rooms and several floors. Up until we bought our Ecobee thermostat & sensors 5 months ago, we had no real way to calibrating room temps. Sometimes I would fiddle with the register grates, but then rooms that had been cold were now hot and vice versa. Impossible to find middle ground. Awful Product

Definitely would not recommend these room sensors. They do not work and are a waste of money. It adjusts the temperature 5-10* colder in my 3 year olds room so during the night it drops into the 50’s. You would think the room sensor would not let that happen.

Temperature Averaging - No Humidity Sensors

Works perfectly fine for temperature monitoring, but for the price should also measure humidity. there are parts of the world where humidity control is a concern, and being able to monitor it in different parts of the house would be extremely useful, as the thermostat is able to turn on the ac to lower the humidity.

I am a renter and have seen my electric bill jump so much in the last 2 yrs. I saw on my bill that they had a program that they would come out and access ways you can save money free of charge. My landlord was 100% behind this! Well they came and installed an ecobee thermostat! The one we had here was very old ! They don't work

I have one for each room and though it is nice to get an idea of which room tends to run hot to be honest unless your house is on an automatic zone setting then your AC will run and run and run and one part of your house will be freezing while the other part is ok.. I ended up removing all of them and now the main thermostat controls everything and so far so good.

Sensor eretic behavior

Not up to expectations. Had to replace from 2 property. It gets minds of it own amd start AC in middle.of winter...

Worked fine for awhile

After latest software upgrade the thermostat does not work properly. Temperature drops significantly and heater just won’t turn on. I do not recommend this product.

This is the main flaw

I’ve always been using the solution. I believe the main flaw is on the temp sensors not being smart enough. I say this based on all tests and tweaks I’ve made with it over the course of using it. Temperature detection is spot ON but occupancy detection does not. The main flaw is the refresh rate for occupancy detection. It can’t be changed and takes more than 20 minutes to refresh which does not help when doing follow mode. If they can add the option to adjust the refresh rate for occupancy feat...

Never Available

The thermostat always reads warmer than what it really is in the house, even with the extra sensor which has now died and is useless so it's either really cold in the house during winter and I have to turn the threshold up or it's really warm during summer and the a/c will constantly running. The extra sensors are never in stock and you can't get them anywhere else. Kinda useless to have an accessory for a main product that is never available.
