Installation is not easy due to the clips that come with the cable. The clips do not hold on to the shingles and they are flimsy. I can already tell that they will not hold in bad weather. I installed them just as the directions said.

Would RecommendIt was what I wanted and at a very good price. Still need to install and for winter to test.
Did the Job
Would RecommendI had a thick layer of ice on my roof which caused an ice dam and water was coming into my kitchen. The first day we could not hang the product as demonstrated but by the next day the EasyHeat had melted enough ice for us to install it properly. Next year we'll get it up before winter weather hits.

Easy to install
Would RecommendPurchased to help keep ice damns from forming in valleys on the north-side of the house causing water damage in the living room ceiling. Only took a couple of hours to install and has solved the leaking into attic above living room. Increased our electric bill by $50 a month but cheaper than getting the roof, ceiling and insulation fixed each year.

Great product for thawing gutters
Would RecommendLocated in Alaska, some winters have more ice dams building up than others and this year was more than usual. I bought this 100 feet of heat cable mid-winter and used it to thaw and remove ice building up in and above my gutter. I'd cleared the snow 3-4 feet up from the gutter and just laid coils of heat cable on the ice. It quickly melted through it and on one warm day or two the pieces of ice just scraped off and the entire gutter thawed out and drained. I will install this cable or a properly...

Would Not RecommendI havent used it yet however here are pros and cons of installation. Pros- instructions are easy. Cable is flexible. Cons. Of course they want you to spend another $55 for a controller And install another breaker specifically for this unit. . 120ft cable is deceptive when you install it, peaks and valleys as well as enough line to run the bottom of your gutter and down spout gets you about 30 ft of roof and gutter with a 2 ft overhang. Lastly- the included clips for install under the shingle...
