Would RecommendThe cable works amazing and buying the thermostat was a great idea but... untangling the cord and getting routed was challenging

Roof Heat Cables
Would RecommendGreat product works like a charm. Make sure you set them up in late summer or early fall. I tried to set them up in November and the tabs would not stick under the shingles (Could'nt even get them under the frozen roof and did want to damage shingles). I ran them through the gutter and down the downspout and that worked just fine though. WARNING: Buy longer than you think you need, when you set them up as advised you run out of material fast, I had to go buy an extra 60' cord after I came up...
Only good for one year??
I put 80 feet on two years ago and it worked very good for one year. Last year it was dead and I really Iced up. Couldn't do anything except throw on some salt. This year still no heat, got electricy to the power source but not up the line. I don't know if there is a warranty. Need to spend another $100 dollars maybe I'll do another brand.
Roof Heat Cable
Would RecommendThe Easy heat cable was easy to work with and came with plenty of clips for my application length. After using it for a couple of weeks, it has done a good job of preventing ice dams and keeping the snow and ice off the edge of the roof and gutters. I would give it 5 stars for performance but only 4 stars because of the cost.

Very disappointed
Would Not RecommendPurchased 3 roof heat cables to rid ice/snow build up at gutter/roof edge. They do NOT work well at all in temps between teens-20's. Double-checked power source and installation instructions with no issues found. The heat cables are inadequate and a big, expensive disappointment! We have 4' icicles hanging! Don't waste your $$$!
they work great
Would Recommendjust bought these because I have them on all sections of house but one. The one section got an ice dam and a leak. They are very easy to install. They do need a way to fix them if it cracks or is cut. We live in snow country,we had 3ft of snow on the roof. Everyone had ice dams and leaks.
They do the job
Would RecommendAbout 5 years ago I installed 3 of these heat cables to keep ice from forming in my rain gutters. One developed a ground fault after two or three years, which is why I bought a new one. The other two are still going strong. I figure they're lasting pretty well.
Roof Heat Cable -
Would RecommendPurchased this quality product from Lowes. The clips used to install the cabling are an excellent design and make the job so much easier to use. I purchased a set of roof cables from Home Depot and returned them shortly after attempting to install the clips. This product is by far the best. Highly recommend this product for its ease of installation.
Worked one season
Would Not RecommendWhile it worked well the first season, we removed it and stored in garage over summer, now it's non functioning.
Heat Cable Install
Would RecommendThis is my first experience with this type of product, but I found it to be pretty straight-forward. I started off with the 30-foot cable, but found that this was going to be too short for this application, so I exchanged it for the 60 foot cable for an additional $20. The cable is heavy-duty and quite easy to work with. Planning is the key, so lay this out before jumping on the roof, as this makes it much easier, and safer. I laid my pattern out on the roof and then began securing it down with ...
