Ratings & Reviews for DuroMax HX 210cc Electric Start Camping and RV Ready 5500 Starting / 4500 Running Watt Gasoline, Liquid propane Dual fuel Portable Generator

Good preforming for the size,

I bought the generator prior to a major ice storm and has been very happy with the service and ease of use. I am enjoying the dural fuel part, using only propane up to this point so as not to worry about clogged fuel issues.

Great generator

Nice unit, well built and the assembly instructions are perfect.

I've had a duramax for 2 or 3 years. It will not start when we have cold weather. Have been disappointed since I've had it. Very frustrating 😕

Great prep for anything coming your way

We got this generator as a step above (a few steps, actually) our previous 1500 watt generator (a different brand), because we knew that while we’re not setting up for whole-home backup, we wanted a generator that could handle the main devices hooked up via heavy-duty extension cords. So far, so good — setup and startup are well-documented with this device. This 5500-watt generator makes a great middle-ground for immediate temporary power needs with a generous 4-gallon gasoline tank (we alway...

Love it

this is my first experience with a generator and so far, I really like this one. It's not too loud and it was east to assemble. It is also strong enough to run everything I need during a power outage.

Emergency Generator

Reliable backup power. Was much lighter than I expected. Started up easy, Worked flawlessly. Hopefully I will not need, but feel happy that i have it just in case.. it get very cold quickly in my house when the power goes out.

The BEST

Fantastic generator in all respects, easy to assemble, direct instructions and runs well

Great Features

Packaged well, easy to assemble, quick start up. I believe it will be perfect for our needs.

I purchased a 5500 watt generator

I received the generator 2 months ago. It was very easy to assemble and start. No issues. I use it for small jobs and backup for appliances in my house.

Great addition to my emergency preparedness

I live in a rural area and have frequent power outages. This generator allows me to operate essential devices. I am very satisfied with the product.

5500W Dual fuel during Hurricane Helene Asheville

Installed this generator for my sister who lives in Asheville NC. She ran it on propane for a week during Hurricane Helene and kept her house liveable. Thanks Duromax!!

The best generator on the market

lots of power i am really impressed ran for 8 hours for the break in used driven oil the best of the best 10w40 break in oil its ready for the thousands of hours of hard work

Outstanding Generator-Reliable, Safe & Versatile

I couldn’t be happier with the 5,500 Watt Dual Fuel Portable HX Generator. From the time I purchase it to the time it got delivered to me. The dual fuel option is a game‑changer, you can run it on either gasoline or propane, which gives flexibility and peace of mind during emergencies or extended use. Performance is rock solid: it easily powers essential appliances, tools, and electronics without a hiccup. The CO Alert feature adds an extra layer of safety, automatically shutting down if carb...

Syrinx for the win!

This generator has been amazing. Starts consistently, runs smooth and is very fuel efficient. I highly recommend this product

Nice quality unit and works great

I received my generator quickly and it works perfectly. Very good quality and would purchase again. It starts easily and performs well. Putting on the wheels was a bit difficult because I had to turn the unit over to do this. It is heavy. Also, I did not know that these units need grounding. This delayed my usage in an open garage which I had to relocate for grounding to a nearby electrical box.

Last One Lasted me 13 Years

This is my second Duromax generator. I bought my last one 13 years ago. I've used it for everything; job sites, power outages, and miscellaneous things. It has ALWAYS started on the first pull even after sitting up for months at a time. Something happened that now the output power is diminished. I wanted to repair it but I don't know where to get the parts so instead I bought a new one. I hate to get rid of it because the engine is awesome. I only hope this one is as great.

Easy to assemble, and run. Using Propane only

Everything is great, but battery start did not work, replacement battery being sent, service reps easy to work with and know their product.
