Ratings & Reviews for DuroMax HX 210cc Electric Start Camping and RV Ready 5500 Starting / 4500 Running Watt Gas and Propane Dual fuel Portable Generator

poor support, parts and help

looks great BUT support is beyond terrible. Don't ask for help or assistance. They don't answer requests or emails.

This generator is a great buy for the money.

Generator was very easy to assemble, no problems. Filled it with oil and gas and gave the generator a test run. I have a 2600 square foot house and an outdoor kitchen, the generator ran both with no p, including the central air conditioning unit.

Smooth and Quiet

I've owned many generators in the past. This by far is the quietest generator I have owned yet. It is easy to operate and easy to start. I put a good size load on a generator and it still did not increase in sound. My generator sits right outside my garage door which is not insulated and is not very loud at all. Can barely hear it in the garage. The materials that the company Duromax power provides is very detail-oriented. Gives details on how to start up. How to break in and how to maintain you...

Ports AC and all we need

This generator has absolutely saved us twice now. We were without power for over 3 days. We ran the AC, 2 refrigerators, 2 TVs/satellite/internet, lights, Alexas, dehumidifier, shower vents, and a PC with no problem. Start up is super easy. A full tank lasts us about 9 hours so we can fill before bed and rest easy. We hardwired into the house and it's an easy switch over when we need it. The only trouble we had was trying to use two stove burners. We basically turned everything off but one refri...

Great generator. Hope it save my life! In Florida.

Got it for the bad season of 2024. In Florida. Brind it on.

Great prodict

A compact generator that can be run on propane. I love the features of this product.

Looks great

Generator has a great appearance I just need to test to see if everything else is good.

Generator came in box without any damage

My order was on time just like they said it would

Compact generator

This generator is a lot smaller and quieter than I had imagined but provides more than enough power to my house to keep the essentials running.

Generator for Emergency

I purchased the optional ( highly recommend ) panel box and had it hardwired into my current box. This little generator provides enough output to have the water well, septic pump, a few outlets, lights and refrigerator working during outages. I currently only use propane as my fuel source and have had 0 issues with this generator

Decent unit but weak manual and quality control

I had my XP5500HX shipped to my local Lowe's. Upon attempting assembly I found the box was missing several key parts and no parts list was provided in the manual, making it difficult to determine exactly what was missing. When I contacted DuraMax Support they quickly helped with shipping the missing parts and advised that an updated service manual is being prepared that will contain a parts list. The updated manual will be available online "soon". Not including a parts list in the provided ...

Trouble had one year stop working. Put in shop still not working waste of money. Helpline nevers answer

Love the Dual Fuel

This was very easy to assemble. The only challenge was the oil cap is very easy to get cross threaded. It started right up using gas and propane!! Not too loud. Love my new generator!

Great features, great price, simple operation!

This generator is extremely easy to set up, and to prepare for use. The steps in starting it are simple enough to complete in just a few seconds - fuel line on, choke off, press-button start, and choke on, that's it. Great generator, great price, and love the flexibility of Propane vs. Gasoline.
