Ratings & Reviews for DuroMax HX Series 15000 Starting / 12000 Running Watt Gas and Propane Dual fuel Portable Generator

5 years and going agrong

Purchased this generator back in 2020. I’ve been through several winter storms and a hurricane with this generator. It’s going as strong now as the day I purchased it. I run it largely in propane.

Awesome product!

What a beast! Powers my entire 3K square foot house including the HVAC system, two refrigerators and a deep freezer… Got the tent as well…

15,000 Watt Electric Start Dual Fuel Portable Gene

Purchased last year, works great, powered everything I needed.

Senile a good generator

Bought this generator and got it a few days later got all accessories, haven’t tried using yet other than breaking in but it starts up nice and isn’t as loud as I thought it would be

Great generator

Great generator we should head four wheels instead of two little heavy to move around

Love the remote starter from inside house!

Purchased mind last year. Have been very pleased with it. Good purchase!

The Best Generator

This has to be the best generator brand that I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned a few different brands once going to Duramax I have stuck to them starting with an 8000 and 10,000 and then 13,000 and now my 15,000… I am so happy in please keep up the great work Duramax

Stay up and running after the next Hurricane!

After a series of hurricanes, one that flooded our house, I realized how much I need a backup generator for my whole house. This 15 KW powerhouse does the job. The hook-up through a transfer switch to my home's main panel was done quickly by a licensed electrician and it works beautifully.

Reliable Unit

I bought this generator to use as a backup for my home in case we loose power especially during a hurricane. Didn’t need it this season but I decided to hook it up recently just to be sure that it would fire up. The starter motor turned it over and started in seconds. Impressive!

Good power

I bought this in 2023 and have been happy we haven’t needed to use it. I set it up and ran it, and have since been regularly starting and running a space heater. My only complaint is that it is hard to start sometimes, it will crank and crank like it’s not getting fuel even though the petcock is on. Always works but I just have to make sure the battery is fully charged in case it is stubborn that particular time so I just keep it on a trickle charger. Great value though. Would buy again.

Great product!

Great generator! Powers my whole 3,000 square foot home including HVAC, two refrigerators and a freezer…Had a “soft start” installed for the HVAC and plumbed it into our home propane supply for virtually unlimited use..

15000 watt Gen

Well, I haven't even started it yet. But, a couple of friends have a duromax and they love it. That's why I decided to go with them.

XP15000HX

We have had this about a month and it ran all our devices in the subpanel like a champ. It is awesome.

Reliability

My second Duromax generator. I recently bought the 15000 dual fuel because my house is all electric and wanted to best output. Gifted my daughter the older 13000 Duromax duel fuel for her house. Now we both feel secure in reliable power with winter approaching. Great power source for us.

Just arrived!

Easy set up. Looks great. Starting the break in period. Hopeful I don’t need to use it but I’m sure glad I bought it.

Very well build generator, i am able to power my entire house with out any problems!!!

Minor assembly issues

I had read in prior reviews, the box did not include a sufficient number of washers (4) for the wheel assemblies. This was correct for me as well, as my box only contained two washers. I had to fabricate two more washers from fender washers I had in stock, as a standard width washer is too thick. When assembled at the factory, a bolt on the battery cover was cross threaded and I had to deal with this issue. The battery that came with my generator is designed to be connected on the side of t...
