Ratings & Reviews for DuroMax HX Series 15000 Starting / 12000 Running Watt Gas and Propane Dual fuel Portable Generator

2nd DuroMax Generator

This is my 2nd DuroMax Generator - love the product dependability and craftsmanship - very satisfied.

New Generator Owner

Just bought this unit , been looking at for a while but with some recent Power Outages figured it is now time to invest in a generator,, since there is a good sale decided upon this model

Great product

Great piece of equipment. It performs without problems. I ran it for 8 hours with a medium load for break in and it performed perfectly. I highly recommend this .

Questionable Quality

Generator shot sparks out the cover in the first 5 minutes of operation. The cover had been hit before being packaged, and the cable insulator and wiring was damaged. Duromax is pointing me to Lowes for a return, but Lowes has a 48 hour return period for generators. I would have thought the Warranty period started the minute the generator was assembled and started, but apparently I'll have to fight for it.

Excellent and Amazing Power

This machine/generator is a beast. I needed something with more power and this has definitely made a difference from my previous 10000 watt generator.

GREAT FEATURES

i bought this in august 2025 to prepare for hurricane season. haven't used it yet but will be planning to assemble and break in this weekend. have heard great things about this generator and my dad also bought one the same week i did. i feel more at ease knowing i have a power backup in case of power outage. will try to leave another review after first use

very efficiant

AWESOME generator we use it to run a350 amp welder and it works perfect good buy!

So far so good

Bought this a month ago, had a whole house plug installed. The box was heavy so you'll want to be there when delivered so they can place it where you want or have your own large dolly. Assembly was easy, but was missing a washer for the wheel, luckily i had some that worked on hand. Once assembled its fairly simple to move around. Generator fired right up once everything was ready to go and the house test went great. Will come back after a while for update.

Works Great

I live in Florida and never know when a hurricane will take out the power. We have been out for up to 12 days and when you have no AC or refrigeration for 12 days you know it. This generator starts right up and powers my AC and refrigerator running off my 250 lb propane tank. It is easy to move and makes power outages problems a thing of the past.

review of both generator

bought one, like it so much we bought another one, so we have one for the barn and well and the other for the house. like the ease of start and duel fuel makes it better to keep it running long periods of time if needed

Great Generator

I purchased this generator a year ago. Very pleased with performance as of this date. Easy set up and operation.

Good generator

Runs my whole house 3 freezers 2 refrigerators 31/2 ton central a/c with soft start mine runs off propane

great generator so far

I bought this about 2 weeks ago have not had a chance to put it to a test yet. Was missing 2 flat washers for wheel assembly, and a wrench from tool kit. also, can't find where to buy a oil filter for oil change yet.

Powerhouse

Bought this monster before the ban went into effect in California. This powers our house, excluding the ac. Good buy.

LOVE THIS GENERATOR!

I have this generator backed up to my house, and it is strong. During the last outage, I was the only one on my block with power. It ran everything I needed without any issues. My neighbors took notice and were really impressed, and some have already pre-ordered theirs after seeing it in action. Highly recommend!

Runs like a champ and does not let down

I own a few generators and I would buy another if needed.

Made to work. Mine has been a life saver.

My first one was so great that someone saw fit to steal it. I recommend placing it on concrete blocks or a plastic pallet, removing the wheels, and then leveling it.

Works for the whole house at half load

Bought it's since major companies price was 15k more. Happy that it does the same thing.

Great generator

Purchased last year and it does the job I need. Lowers the whole house with ease

Great Generator!

Bought this to power my house in hurricane vulnerable FL. Haven't had to use it yet but tested it and everything worked smoothly, under full load. Installation was a breeze and it is easily portable and has a very manageable footprint in my garage when not in use.
